High Anxiety

The good news is that there were no leaks (so far, knock wood) in the kitchen drain after I put it back together. The bad news is that the desired leak (drainage) isn't there, either. For now I am inclined to believe the pipes on the outside wall are ice blocked and that I should just leave it be and wait for the predicted thaw in the weather this weekend. For now, I get to relive the joys of doing dishes in the bathroom. The "joy" is sarcastic, but the sarcasm leaves room for gratitude that the bathroom plumbing is working today.

While the second plumbing crisis of the month and the increasingly spooky silence from the contractor who took my money are the main targets of this morning's high anxiety, those feel like targets more than causes. I am inclined to blame the weather as the source. The a-typical cold which has hit North America is giving way to a thaw. I love blaming the weather for my anxiety. I cannae imagine being unaffected by the weather.

An easier to change probability is that the housekeeping has slid in the yaddahs of the blahs, most especially in the kitchen. I amnae a clean freak, but disorder do get me anxious and flashing back to the cesspools I was raised in.
