Hidden Benefits
Still waiting for those work crews to show up while battling the worry of having been lied to by a contractor who just took the money and ran. I have worked construction and *know* all is still within the realm of reasonable, but this is the first time it has been MY money and MY project on the line. ^It^ sure looks different on this side of the process.
Waiting remains the bane of my impatient life. I get these notions in my head of what SHOULD be and I go after those notions like a dog after a fresh bone. There is no life outside that fresh bone. If you value your hand, don't try to tell me otherwise. The SHOULD BE is sacred. There are no other options.
OCD much? ? ?
I am stillnae very good at pulling my attention away from the object of my obsession, but it still feels worth the effort. My headaches are far less intense when I let my thoughts flow beyond that single focus. I am kinder to the world around me when I let things move at the speed of life. There are always other things to do and think about. Balance in all things. The current wait has my focus fissuring painfully when I work on other projects, as usual, but I am accomplishing a few tasks a day, in between entirely too much shutdown time. Progress over perfection. . .
The resumed language studies have been feeling good. Still just the Spanish review, but it is a start. I hope to tackle the utility room today. Despite my efforts to move slowly in filling the empty house, the clutter is gaining in intensity. The utility room's clutter is ouchy.
