Hi angel friends, thank you for your comments. i have some new updates.
Hi angel friends, thank you for taking the time to read/write, and reply. :) it means a lot to us, during these times, and with all that's been going on, we've been very thankful for all of your love, care, and support, during all of this. it's helped us, more than you can know, and means so much to us :)
thank you all, for taking the time to read, reply, and shairng your thoughts, and support :) Everyone knows, Holly and i have been together, very close, for a long time, and through a lot of things. the caring support, comfort, and being there for eachother, it's something she and i cherish, and treasure. we're very close, and more close than everyone maybe knows. my family and i, have dealt with a lot over the years, we have experience in dealing with situations, that are always not the best. my sister Jenn's breakdown in 2008 from unbelievable grief and loss. when she and Mike got together, they had awful fights here, and caused all kinds of situations. my brother Charlie (my oldest brother), has been sober for 10 years of his life since he was 16 years old,and he's in his 50's now. he can't stop drinking and we have faced that journey with him, for years. we never turn him away. we understand, and have been through a lot, with all of the dealings, coping. Holly isn't off like this. what set her off, was her daughter Kim. Holly is very natural, caring person, just like all of us. a bad day to her, use too be if something was wrong with her computer, but what Kim did to her, we'd never treat anyone like, family, or friends. Holly deserves a fresh start. i usually don't write much about Holly and i in my journals, but she and iare much closer, than i beleive everyone knows. we've maintained a balance in our lives, and our relationship, it's always worked so well, and has been very good for us. i believe, what she encountered at Regina's place, was much more than she could handle, and when she reached out to her family, i'm not sure they ever knew, how bad the living situation was, just that, not including how the situation affected her health in many bad ways, and in the current situation she is in, who knows where she could end up, especially without the complete support 100%, from her loved ones. i know this is a big thing, but if we don't give this a try, it would be unfair, to the situation. She deserves a fresh start. she needs hope, and to have stability :) sometimes,it felt to her, like me, and my family was all she had, during hard times. a distance between us, was hard, because we could only do so much, and could only be there in limited fashion, but it was better than nothing. i heard her voice, her scared voice when Regina was going off yellowing to the top of her lungs, i heard fear, and upsetness, anxiety of what Holly was experiencing. She's a survivor of domestic abuse from years ago. Holly shared pictures with family, and her therapist, and recordings of Regina's outbursts, and not much was done. her family, they have their lives, and we all have our lives, and Holly's become a big part of our family over the years.
i called Holly's friend Linda, and Margie, her brother's inlaw, we talked, and her brother texted me. They are in agreement, and supportive of the idea, of Holly relocating to Connecticut. Holly called me, she had some anxiety at the place, because one of the workers there, told her to be quiet, when she heard a bird outside. Holly loves nature, and doesn't deserve to be treated like that. it's not right. joys, enjoyment to her, so much has been taken from her. i believe, my family and i give her a lot of joy, enjoyment, YOU ALL do too, more than you know. i will begin to write more, about how much she cares about everyone here, and is thankful you all are there for me and my family :) she has only the best thoughts, and well wishes, for everyone. she and my mom are close, and also my sister Lisa and Holly, and Holly loves kids, pets, nature :) she could join my mom and i, for nature walks :)
Holly added my mom and i to the release form, to be able to speak with her social worker. her social worker called me, and we had a good talk, and she's going to call tomorrow too. it was a really good talk :) there's talks about Holly relocating here to Connecticut, and establishing getting a new dr, therapist, and phyiciatrist. Holly is on disability, and recents monthly payments. i know she will want to help my parents, and us all, but i know my parents, they won't accept anything like that. we just aren't taking in any person, this is Holly, and anyone who has read my journals over the years, sharings, all knows, that Holly is close with us. it's gonna be different, some changes, but we just can't let her continue to be put in bad place, after bad place, and it setting her back. we have a chance to do something really good here, making a positive impact, and going slow at it, and helping her with things as she makes progress :) i think, our constant love, support, being there for her with encouragement, will help her further her healing, to a healthier future, and we'd love to be a part of it all. it will be a journey to share, in my journals. tomorrow's my 12th anniversary, here on ds. i came to DS, down, extremely shy, unmotivated, lost, and no direction. Everyone here, no matter what year after that 2007, every member, friend, i've come into contact with, and communicated with, played a role in me reversing those things i mentioned, so better my life. as i enter my 12th year on DS,Holly is experiencing a rough time, and she's reaching out for support, just like i did. my journals, always have been about giving hope. people i don't even know, or never became close friends with, send me messages, and just say,how hopeful they felt after reading my journals. i want to always keep that going forward, and will :) Holly's gonna get better, and through this, and share in so many new times, adventures, with us, that it's going to be not only progress for her, but also progress for me. i will always be here, my family too. we have no issues with anyone's path, or direction, or situation they may be going through. we are united on DS, because we all came here at some point in our lives, where we needed to talk, or needed help with something, the range of subjects, deeper than the sea. focusing on the positives, and moving forward, is definitely a way, to face each day. we all have been through a lot, have suffered unthinkable losses, in tragedies, or have had amazing triumphs to share. that's what DS is about, and i'm ready to continue to share Holly's healing journey with everyone, and sharing about all of the things we all enjoy, together as a family. This isn't changing our days, or routines, or our traditions. it adds to it, and in a very caring, loving way. i'm just saying, wheni came to DS in 2007,i was just me, and nothing more. i just needed a chance to share my journey, and i'm just saying, Holly needs a chance right now, and if i was deserving of a chance, she is too :)
i have a deep passion to help others. that's something that can't be taken out of you. i'll always stick by the sides of my family, Holly, and friends, and will go beyond the limit to be there. i couldn't imagine it any other way.Holly and i are so close, and we all believe, this is best chance, to really go forward even more to more healthyness, and betterment of her life :) she doesn't have much, but as long as she has love, she's got hope :)
Holly may be able to be discharged in 1 week, and her social worker is gonna call us tomorrow, about transportation. i want to write about our days, nature walks, adventures, with spirit soaringness, and i haven't been able too, because she hasn't been well. to care about something that much, it's a devotion of the heart. if you feel it, or ever have, you understand it even more :) Holly's a fine, wonderful person, and no one deserves the hardships she's endured. we love you angel friends, i'm here, and always will be :) i just want all to be ok too :) Your love, caring, encouragement, we take it to our hearts, very much :) Holly and i always discussed this time, and always dreamed, hoped to live together, someday. this time, very rough time, is a chance to help make her healing journey easier, and that will only add to the togetherness she and i love, and appreciate :) we want to make it happen for her :) she deserves it, and we want to share every step forward :)
To see this smile again, and to see her healthy again like this, is a hope my heart has, as we continue this new year, 2019. :)

Hi Chris Holly is being discharged from a facility there will be social workers therapist and all kinds of things going on before she is anywhere near to coming to live with you. It may not be as simple as you think it will be Spending time on the phone and living together is a whole different matter. She has big issues and a past to deal with You and your family not matter how well intentioned may have a difficult time LOVING her problems away. I hope you have not all taken on way too much then you can handle. I will be a supportive friend best of luck with it all.
Hi Chris...As you know, Denny and I have been married for over ten years now, so I definitely understand devotion of the heart and sticking by someone through thick and thin. I respect and admire your desire to help her when she's having a tough time. But, as we have discussed on the phone, she has very significant mental health issues that extend way beyond an eating disorder and what you've detailed in your journal. Out of respect for you and for her, I will not list these issues here, but you need to stop and think about what it will be like to live with those issues. What she has experienced with her two previous roommates will happen to you and your family, unless she is under the constant care of a psychiatrist and therapist. As Stephanie put it so well, you cannot love her issues away. And, quite frankly, she has shown through her actions in the past that she is not willing for you to. It's also very different to stand by a family member or close friend when they are going through issues than standing by someone you really don't know. Because you really *don't* know her, Chris. You know the picture that she has painted over the phone. And, even that hasn't always been a very pretty one.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't support her and love her and even help her move to CT. But, moving her immediately into your home is unwise. Have you stopped to think why none of her other family members and friends are willing to take her in? Are they all unkind and uncaring? Or could it be perhaps that they know she is a handful? Please think back to some of the things that you've told me about how she's treated you on the phone. Could you deal with that in person? Once she is there and if things go bad, you may have a difficult time getting her to leave. From talking with you and helping you through the past several days, I know that you are only viewing this situation emotionally. Please step back from it all and think through this decision, because it is one that could alter your life, and perhaps in a very negative way.
I hope that I'm wrong about all of this. I know that it is easier to hear what you want to hear. However, I would not be a good friend to you if I didn't share my concerns about what I see happening. Please do not allow your love for Holly to prevent you from considering the great risks involved in bringing her immediately into your home.
We will continue to support you, regardless. You are a dear friend, and we always want the best for you and your family. Denny and I will be praying for a good outcome. Love and hugs.
Very well said Ladybug I couldn't agree more
Hi Chris WOW!! So much going on in your life right now. As I said yesterday, Please be careful about making this decision. As Ladybug said, you are working on emotions right now and not really good judgment. I will be there for your regardless of the decision that you make, but it might be a better decision for Holly to possibly move into her own place for a while instead of into your home. I am a person in recovery and believe me I know what you are going to be going through. There are days still when John just shakes his head and walks away from me. We love each other very much but sometimes recovery issues just overtake you and you don't know where to turn. The first thing you do is take it out on the ones you love the most. This is what my therapist told John. You are going to have to learn not to take things personally when Holly lashes out at you and believe me she will. It is all part of the recovery process. Like Ladybug said, Holly has a lot of issues she is dealing with, not just one issue. She is going to be struggling for a long time. I know you love her very much but please consider what effect this is going to have on your relationship. Are you ready to stand and have her yell at you and pick an argument with you. This is all part of recovery and the side of recovery that a lot of people don't understand or want to talk about. What happens the first time she lashes out at your Mom or one of your sisters or one of you nephews? I am telling you, this will happen. It is all part of the process of getting well. What happens when Holly says she doesn't want you to go to the postoffice on Wednesday or bake cookies with your nephews on Friday because she wants to spend time with you. These things will happen. The first thing that is going to happen is that Holly will want to learn her boundaries and just how far she can push everyone to get what she wants. And yes, that will happen too.
like I said, I will support you and help you in any way to deal with what you are about to undertake but be sure you look at both sides of the coin before you jump into a decision as huge as this one. Take care my friend and I hope I gave you some food for thought. Love you much--Debbie
