Hey you all.
I'm doing alright. My daughter Kayla turned 18 on Friday but had work and school so we had a nice dinner here and cake yesterday evening then watched a couple movies. On Friday, after work and before school my mom took Kayla to a car lot and she now has a new car which she will refinance as soon as she can make her first withdrawal from a BIA(Bureau of Indian Affairs) Trust fund I set up from an inheritance she received on a real estate note when she was 9 years old. It gained 60 to 80 bucks a month in interest so she has a big chunk of money to help her get started into her adult life. I always told her it was for college but she got grants to cover her schooling so she bought this '06 Ford Freestyle, none of us had ever heard of that model, it looks like a mid-size SUV but technically it is a minivan, V6, AWD and very nice vehicle. Of course mom co-signed for her. She plans to keep as much as she can in the trust so it will continue to gain interest. She's quite smart. I will be back home tomorrow and supposed to have my computer back all rebuilt which Mary has paid for. She could've bought a new pc for the price of the parts and labor. I wish I had been there when she called the pc guy over because I want to know why he thinks it needed a new motherboard and processor. Mary is a doer and I am a thinker. She will say "OK let's get what it needs to get it fixed and get it over with" and I would say "Tell me exactly what is going on and why it needs these expensive parts", I always need to know why on everything, even with doctors, medicines, lab results, etc. I was only having trouble turning it on, the fan was messed up, the computer ran just fine once it was on. Too late now, she bought the parts and when I get back there I will have my rebuilt computer. I will sign up with Avon as a Rep. when I get back and set up the website for shopping and orders.(anyone interested in shopping my site let me know) I have turned my financial problems, or lack of any income rather over to the Lord and I hope something happens to change my financial situation soon. I received the last small child support deposit and that is over now. I have no way to pay my storage unit which has nearly all my personal and household belongings in it that I have left in this world. lol, It's been one crazy ride since my back went wacky and Fibro grabbed hold of me.I've had migraines every evening since I came here, my bowels have been messed up and yesterday I spent in bed with a Fibro pain flare up until I got up in the evening so I wouldn't neglect taking part in Kayla's birthday. This pain has been the cause of me missing social activities and staying home for Holidays too many times and I had to will myself to get out of that bed to just get in the kitchen to make 2 side dishes and stay up slumped on the sofa.Other than the increase in pain and bowel problems all is well and I shall return full time to DS by Wednesday.Sherry

Sorry you are hurting so much lately. It is good that you forced yourself to participate in Kayla\'s birthday celebration. Sometimes we are going to hurt whether we do anything or not, so why not do something? I\'m sure she appreciated it. It was so smart of you to invest on your daughter\'s behalf. So many people live paycheck to paycheck or on borrowed money. I was very underprivileged when I left home at 18. Doing without a car or much of anything, I had investments first. Over time, I became more able to make money with my money, than I have been able to acquire money via wages. This is despite being a MS level chemist! I also hope you do well with Avon and any other undertaking to earn cash. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do to get by.
I am sorry for your pain and financial woes. I wish there was a way to take care of those issues so your quality of life could improve. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Glad to hear you are ok and getting back on, was wondering about you. I hope you sell a bunch of Avon, I know it\'s been hard for you, keep your faith.

Sherry- best of luck with the Avon! I was wondering, have you contacted Easter Seals in your area- they may give you resources you could call that may lead you to many social services you might qualify for- even job opptys maybe for the disabled...
See what\'s out there- you can surely get food stamps/Medicaid if you don\'t already? My prayers are with you...Luv, Christine
Hi Sherry, I\'m glad you were able to spend your daughter\'s birthday with her. Sometimes we have to make a choice as to whether it\'s worth pushing ourselves and paying later or not. I chose to go to a big family dinner last night and I\'m really paying for it, but it was worth it to me. I\'m sorry you have been going through such a hard time lately, hang in there my friend!

I too am glad that your daughter had a great 18th birthday and you could be there. Christmas was so difficult for me and that is my favorite time of year. If I could afford to visit my parents in Florida, I do not know how I could tolerate the plane ride. May your days be pain-free soon~
