Hey we finally talked!!

Finally spoke to my husband last night.  It didn't start off well.  Our 14 year old daughter was letting him have it.  She is very opinionated and has decided she hates this situation and doesn't hold back in telling him that.  She gets so mad when she talks to him so their talks are very few and far between.  I ended up in the conversation over speaker phone and when she wouldn't quit telling him how she felt and yelling at him, he hung up. lol.  He called back on my phone and we were civil.  I didn't want to hear everything he was saying and I told him I wasn't giving up on us.  I hope that some of things that were said last night stay with him and when he is alone he thinks about us.  Right now he is holding on to the past for dear life and refuses to let it go, so until he does that we can't move forward.  I know we took each other for granted and we will never get back the time we lost to distance and work.  I have to keep things as normal as possible for my daughters because the decisions we make will stay with them for a lifetime.  Staying positive...
