I know what you mean, my father died August 2008. Not one single friend of his showed up for the funeral because he\'d been so evil all his life. Now my family was trying to immortalize him as some wonderful person. NO acknowledgement of the harm he did or of those he hurt. It was tough to get through the funeral and the icky pretending on the part of my relatives but one thing helped: I had friends who supported me and who met him years ago when I was in college and knew his evil. I got to visit them in New Orleans when I went home for the funeral from Seattle. Visiting them kept me sane and was a special treat. Knowing that he can\'t hurt anyone any longer is comforting. I still am fighting the battle to heal all the wounds he left behind in me and I am winning. Stay strong, you are never alone.

Hun you are not at fault for his death at all.Your mother not seeing what he really was like hurts you yes but please don\'t let her win in letting you think badly about yourself.Remember when you first found out about it and how you felt relief and safe.....And know I am here for you.HUGS!!!Tee
