Here I am up at 6am again

Since I'm sober I sleep very well but wake up quite early when the rest of the country is still asleep or getting ready for work. While drinking I would sleep fitfully during the night and wake up around 9am but often had to go back to bed later in the day. It's going to be a whole new life again. I was sober for 8 years once and accomplished quite a few great things. Hope it works again. Little things are making me happy like being able to change my font to Comic Sans! When I first joined we couldn't do that so it was nice.  So on Tony's b-day we went to watch our oldest grandson Collin'sT-ball game in Southbury. He is 6 yrs old. That is some cute, funny stuff let me tell ya! He threw from first base and made the catcher but fielding was quite another thing. He was looking down like " what is that round white thing rushing past my ankle?" Too funny. At some point there were 3 of them on the pitchers mound looking for a ball. My son is coaching so I was in second heaven with 2 of my guys out there! My son was the one who called 911 for me so I can still be here to see this.  So I said to my son (Nick) during the game "can I kiss you?" he said "that's not going to happen" in his funny wry way. So I asked if I could kiss Collin and he said"there is no kissing in baseball Mom!" it cracked me up. Later I got lots of kisses from everybody. Both of my children, thier spouses and all 6 grandbabies were there so there were lots of kisses and squeezes. That was Tone's biggest b-day present. He was in his glory as thier Poppa.  Start the Reach Program tomorrow morning and I'm sort of looking forward. Never been to an outpatient rehab so I'm a little nervous from not knowing all that will happen. Just the way I am. Really wish I could go back to sleep as there is no one to talk to and I always feel chatty in the morning. (when I'm sober that is)
