Here Come the Caddies

I have declared myself to be in full psychotic episode. Hubs agrees. I am grateful that we can reach that agreement without Tit for Tat skirmishes or Super Hero take-overs. This morning's phone call was a gentle grounding for both of us. He is struggling this week, too, by whatever name he chooses for his own strictly personals. Each to their own sort-pile headings.

Inside my own strictly personals, the Surname Co-owner Agreement outline from the in-law camp has triggered a flashback sequence through the too many farms, coast to coast, allot like this one from which my family was evicted during my childhood; to the fancy cars coming up the driveway to announce the need for us to move yet again. . . I still don't blame the landlords for not wanting a kiddie whorehouse on the property, but the rejection hurt my childish ego every time. Their upstanding morales were my ticket to eternal rejection.

My siblings and I called all their cars, "Cadillacs," from the luxury pick-up trucks to the brand name sedans. It was kinda like asking for a kleenex. Yea, we know that is not the brand name one the box. Just let me blow my nose, would ya?

Plying therapy tools. Owners will do what owners will do. No sense to trying to predict them.

I nearly cried with gratitude when hubs was receptive to the possibility of my doing a river expedition while the co-owners ownerate. I have no legal standing in all that, it is quite far from my educated skills and there is no telling how long it will take them to reach an agreement. The two empowered voices in the yaddahs of the blahs are very busy people. They'll do lunch with the speed of an executive committee. I am at my limit of how much of this waiting isolation I can handle. The healing magic of a navigable watershed sounds heavanly to me right now.

Well I don't know how the river bottom has changed in the passing of the latest storm.

And I don't know the price the river must pay for human progress on its shore.

So I'm a-standing on the tug boat
