Helping people Saving pets

Every time a pet parent posts a photo of a dog they’ve lost, Finding Rover scans its database and provides possible matches and necessary contact information within seconds. At LA Animal Services, our ability to take in these abandoned animals is directly dependent on the number of reliable foster volunteers we have waiting to take these babies home to raise. We believe foster homes are the future of lifesaving. The more foster volunteers we have, the more lives we can save. Just like with potential owners, fosters need to apply before taking in an animal.

Cages, kennels, or other enclosures should be large enough for the dog to sit, stand, stretch, turn around, and move its head without touching the top of the enclosure. Ideally, the kennel should provide ample breathing room, allow the dog to take several steps freely, and include a separate partition or area for it to eliminate. Other items like a bed and elevated food and water dishes also help. If you are willing to take the animal, have the owner fill out a surrender form to relinquish ownership of the animal.
