Helping my son.

I will be going to South Carolina this week for three weeks to help out my youngest son. He has a seizure disorder and will be going into the hospital for three weeks to be hooked up to monitors to see what is going on. His wife is going to stay with him cause someone has to monitor the machine and log numbers. I'm going there to watch the kids babysit the dogs and get everybody off to school.  This will be great cause I only get to see the kids about once a year.  So my bags are packed full of goodies and games and some arts and crafts. When I return I will start my journey with endo doctors and see what great mysteries these folks can do.  All this is a little sad because I'm 57 and yes i have Graves disease but one son has Graves disease and RA and the other one has a bad seizure disorder. I only have the Graves but why arte  my sons who are way younger have so many health problems and what did I do to cause their poor health.

As Moms, I think we all worry about what we may have done wrong when we were raising our kids. Out of 3 kids, I have one son who has had 3 major accidents in his 43 years. I\'m talking broken bones, bleeding on the brain, long hospital stays. He has come out Ok, but now that he\'s getting older, all those broken bones are talking to him, and he will always have vision problems. I have always worried that I didn\'t teach him to be a little more careful, or not to be in a hurry, but I think God has a hand in all our lives, and it has certainly made my son into a wonderful father and grandfather. Sometimes things just happen, and we never will know the reasons. Your mission in this may be to get to know your grandkids better, and bring your whole family closer together. I have a grandson who lives 6 hours away, and I don\'t get to see him very often either. I am wishing you all the best, and sending you lots of prayers and hugs.

Hi Snippy, and awww hon you did nothing to cause his health problems, I know we tend to blame ourselves for what our children deal with, but please stop and focus on enjoying your visit. We will pray for you
