Help me live without you...

....I don't know why I am saying this every night now as I lay my head on my pillow. It just seems like a thing to say to you if you were still alive.
I know the ups and downs of this roller coaster ride, and truthfully they still hit hard, but not as hard as the beginning of it. Many of the rides up are about thinking of you, what we had and accomplished. But, I can't live in the past, nor want to. It just happens at times. I ran across the notes we wrote each other from 30 yrs ago, and they still bring tears to my eyes. But, so fun to read again and again.
I hope you are having a time of your life, wherever you are. You always tried to have 2 or 3 projects going at one time and I am sure you still do! If you could only help me in the decisions I have had to make on this house and the other. You would know what to do, but I am learning and trying to understand how everyone has their own opinion on how things should be done in the handyman's world! It is frustrating to say the least, but our son is just like you in that he looks at the big picture every time and calms me down from it all!
February was a very long month, hospital stay for my Mom (staying with her all day long)! It was tough, but had to be done. Soon after her stay, my body decided to get this stuff going around too. I still have tail end of this upper resp. stuff. A friend from the past had triple bypass and he is now home recovering. I look forward to seeing the sunshine everyday and am making wellness appts.this month for myself.
Life just keeps on going without you and it makes the roller coaster ride scary, but yet the fear of it is not as intense from the beginning.
If only you could somehow help me live without you, it would be so nice right now!
Just missing you is all......xooxooxxo

This is a ride we\'ll always be on, unfortunately. Glad there\'s been a few rest stops along the way. Hang in there. Hugs, Kip.

Your line, \"If only you could somehow help me live without you..\" sums it up for me too. It is so difficult some days. I hope you are feeling better. Hugs, Nancy

This is beautifully written and it so represents my feelings that it is almost as if I have written it. You are doing what you can....that\'s all any of us can do. I still want to morn and cry so hard at times, but life has created a busy life for me recently so much so, I hardly have time for crying anymore. I like what you said about making wellness appointments....I need to do that too. Continue to take care of yourself and let your son and friends help you. Love, Linda

The ups and downs of this journey do, thankfully, get further apart as time goes on. As far as helping us make decisions ~~ well, we have to research more and then make a good decision from that research (and valued opinions of family or friends). It is good that your son is a lot like his dad and can look \"at the big picture\". I know that helps you.

Good for you on making the wellness appt. I need to do that too. Hope you are feeling better soon ~~ health wise and mentally also.

Hugs, Joely

I did my wellness check up in August, my mammogram, pneumonia shot and flu shot. I really can\'t afford to be sick. It is hard to go on alone but we are doing it and I hope the strength we need continues to bring peace. Hugs!!
