help me and vh1 save the music!
today is my 22nd birthday! facebook causes has this awesome thing where you can "donate your birthday". i donated my birthday to vh1 save the music. i could only send "invites" to 60 of my facebook friends, so i'm letting you all know here.
here's why i did it:
i'm donating my birthday to vh1 save the music so that music education stays in our schools for generations to come. music changed my life. singing gave me more confidence, made me feel better about myself, and gave me memories i will cherish always. the bonds created in a choir room and a concert hall last for years. i am proud to say that most of the friends i met in choir when i was 12 are still my friends today. i am a firm believer in the educational, emotional, physiological and social benefits of music for all people. when kids have music in their lives, they are happier and healthier. study after study proves it. yet time and time again, music continues to be the first thing on the chopping block when schools need money, this is a sad tragedy that needs to be stopped. there are other ways to save money in a struggling school without compromising the education of our kids. please help save the music. whatever you can afford helps. every dollar you give will go toward the purchase of new equiptment for music programs around the country. if you have an old instrument you aren't using, your local music program would gladly accept it.-from a musician and future choir teacher

the amount i set up is $22, but really any amount will do. thanks and god bless.-fallon

Happy Birthday! hope your have sunshine there as we are here. Nice thing to do. We all have our pet projects to support. Did you know that April is Child sexual abuse awareness month. A blue ribbon is how you announce your support!
