Help is coming.
So yesterday I went for my alcohol/ chemical assessment/ evaluation which took almost 3.5 hours to complete! I went in being totally honest about everything but yet I was hoping for their recommendations to be more along the lines of outpatient treatment where I could still work, and be in my own home. I was wrong.
Due to the fact that I don't have the best in-town support network, they recommended to me that I go through a residential program. Or one they call Intensive Outpatient with Residing.
At first I almost started to cry but I kept it together and thought "I can do this, it's for the best". I want to get back on track, and fight those urges of self-destruction and unhealthy ways of coping. I want to learn to love myself better and develop healthy relationships, develop a better mentality.
I'll get through this. I'm fighting everyday to get to where I want to be.
