Help for the Homeless??

Spent the day in downtown Jacksonville, there is a new women and childrens crisis center opened up, and our church youth group participated in the lemonade contest (we won, yeah!) and fundraiser for the shelter.  We also packed food bags and walked out into the not so nice parts of Jacksonville, and handed out these parcels to the men and women in need.  It is sad to see so many people living on the street, sleeping in the bushes, barely enough food to survive. With our church we are going to try and help at least once a month. We are going to collect clothes and blankets, and prepare big spaghetti dinners for these people.  I know it doesn't sound like much, and the fear and desolation you see in some of the faces will break your heart, but trying to help, even a little, is better than not at all. One teen with us, when I asked how he liked the experience, said it was the greatest feeling he ever had, and that we should count him in if we do this again.
