help for ME

this evening i had my first meeting with a therapist to help me control the raging co-dependent dragon lady who emerges from time to time.  it was a good thing! this is my third attempt at one on one therapy in the last 7 years or so, and the last 2 therapists were disappointing.  but, i did learn valuable lessons from them: 1. that i could pick up the phone and ask for help. 2. that it is not as creepy as i thought to see someone and most importantly-3. it is OK to tell your therapist what you need and set goals with them.
she told me i was doing well!!!!! no great earth shattering epiphanies, just a validation that it is okay to draw that line and tell prince charming not to cross it , it is ok to refuse to be responsible for his choices. it is okay to move on with my life in a healthy way and leave him behind if that is his choice. no guilt. no needing to get sucked into his drama. and ok to be angry!!!!! i want to work on getting rid of that anger.  my problem is that i don't know what to do with it.
prince charming was subdued and wanted to know if i portrayed him in a bad way. this seemed very important to him.  i simply answered that i just told the truth. the whole complicated truth. and left it at that.   all in all the best day in a while for me.

That is awesome! It helps to have someone neutral tell you you are on the right path. I know what you mean about anger. We keep getting told some horrible stuff happened to us but it\'s a disease and caused by a drug you can\'t exactly have a talk with or be mad since it\'s not alive, lol. So I don\'t know what to do with the anger either.
