Susie, I think you've been able to get your journal posted now, so I'll just answer your question regarding pictures. When you click on "NEW JOURNAL +, you'll see a space to enter a title for your post. Under that you'll see a little icon that to me looks like mountains and a sun/moon inside a little square box. Click on that and you can then add pictures to your post. Hope this helps!
I did that and it wanted the pic edited which I did but then no way to get out of editing? Right now brain is all comfuzzled so will try again later.

After you crop the picture, scroll down just a little and click on the little square to "crop and insert".
