Hello dear friends

Hello dear friends. Not much to report except that the first week as Community Leader went well.We have the best community, full of loving caring members. When DS came to me with this offer, it wasn't a hard decision for me to make since I know and love every aspect of our community, except one thing, the virus of hep c.Since being diagnosed in 2000, I have read anything and everything I could put my hands on  regarding this hideous disease.&When I got rid of the virus, I told myself, why not continue this journey and help those newly diagnosed.I for one was really lost when I was told I had this unknown virus. So I made it my destiny to help others never feel like I did that fatal day.So after years of working on many, many sites towards helping others, I have learned quite a lot and still learn daily here and there, you can never know enough, especially with medicine that's the wonder of medicine, you can never know it all. Then a few weeks ago, the biggest support group on the web offered me the role of Community Leader.Imagine little old me, the CL of the greatest message board (Hep c) in the biggest support group on the net, wowwhat a achievement for me.After all these years of devotion, I get offered this rewarding position as CL.It was quite easy to accept for me, since it was an honnor in my book. Then all of you fine members, like I said, the best here at DS, made it soo easy for me to accept being there for all of you fine friends. So my point here today is,"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"So continue to read, and learn everything there is to know about this disease, cause some day you might just be like myself, wanting to give for the Cause.Thank you for all of the confidence you have shown me in your posts,I will do everything in my power to help each and everyone of you.I would also like to thank the DS Team for giving me this opportunity.Love & Respect.MckenzieOne day at the time.
