HEAVY RAIN//got new glasses//shopped for b-day cards//another death of an ex grrrr
headed out to the marina. its raining, but i am too bored to just sit, probably because i'm not out as much as i would be normally.
got new glasses, as i lost a pair that i normally wear all the time. amazing they still sell those frames and they are OLD, from 2006, she looked them up. plus, i have been wearing that style for more than 15 years? and they STILL sell them, the real small and darkest tint.
i bought a totally different style this time, finally bored with the other one. i bought the straight top ones and still adapting. two pair (buy one get one). the tinted ones feel okay, the clear ones don't. i have had that happen before, so i'm going to double check the prescription. she insists its -25 on each side and i think when it was that i got a headache and it was -20 and -25. i'm also 29/30 which has to do with pupils. she was very good and efficient. the glasses i chose actually look better on her. lol. don't know if i'd enjoy being an optician. my friend's dad was an optometrist, and i know that was six years of schooling. even longer to be an opthalmologist, which is the doctor end of it. i used to think all of the levels were super-educated, but they aren't, just like with nursing. some are 3 months, a cna, and others are six years, a nurse practitioner and all the levels in between.
i needed to get new glasses anyway, i'm around 3 years overdue with that.
one of my ex's died. i'm sure i was told this and it rolled off of me - typical me. i dated him briefly when we first moved to daytona 13 years ago. then life and destiny being what it is, his youngest daughter dated one of my distant cousins who was renting from me six years ago. so i go to look this up and i discover she is flitting around and in all sorts of small trouble for fraud, except by now she is in her mid-20's and like this. not good. wth? L used to say this about her when they dated - that you can't trust her. she comes from a super-nice family, her grandfather used to marry people at disney world, but she isn't like any of them - though when someone is a teenager, you can't really gauge it.
then her father showed up and its him, and he wants her to rent and go to school for police science through my house, which is an audacious request since i don't rent to teens and generally not to girls. i was actually on ds back then and she was 18 at the most. she was too young to be renting a unit on the back of our house and he had a fit because he wanted her to rent there. talk about obnoxcious. our entire block rents to students, why me. this has happened before as well. its right before we moved to the house by the beach where we are now. she was very good at seeing through people, she saw right through jodif and gregr and would have made a great cop or corrections officer or even salvation army work (though she's gorgeous, so her looks would be a deterrent for that kind of thing unless she got fat, or went into it when she is over 30 both of which make a person's looks fade). she must be very bored because she is in trouble and telling off/not showing up at court so in contempt of court as well. she likes scamming, which she could use for undercover work, if she were on the cop side of it. its very sad. now her father is gone and her mother died about 15 years ago, both of cancer. weird how things creep back. i almost fell over when i saw it.
land of the ex's, another ex, his YOUNGER daughter just had a baby son. what a weird year this is. i actually remember when she was born. lol. wonder if she knows he was hoping she would be a he, so here he finally got his son - sort of. though life being what it is, bet they won't be seeing each other much...or he's gotten like a lot of us and can't handle the noise. lol. with catch ups the relative through england, who lives near our house up north, just got back from costa rica. what amazes me is he is still with the same girlfriend that he moved there to be around five years ago, though back then they were just friends. why doesn't he just marry her - they are both over 30 by now. if my sister were sitting here she would tell me to mind my own business, and it is none of my business...she would be FOR the wait because she didn't marry until she was 39. lol. and AFTER their kid was born. lol. another one, the guy i mentioned with the new grandson, he did the same thing, except they were in their 20's when they did that 20+ years ago.
nothing else. can't believe how bored i am. once the meds are all worked in, can i go out again or what? though i know my energy should be into exercise and swimming and all that. our pool is really only good in late spring and early fall. we have turtle laws now, everything closed earlier because of turtle mating season; and when it rains the water is too cold in the pools anyway, they don't use the pool heaters in the summer. shopped for b-day cards and the dollar general around here was limited for choices - its usually the best for cards (all cards are around one dollar, even hallmark). grrrr. was hoping to get all the cards in one swoop.

Rain makes everything more beautiful. I am not friends with any of my exes and it\'s in the past. Less drama and less problems. Trying to be cool for having new glasses, I see ;)
trying to be cool? i don\'t get it? i got new glasses because i lost a pair and i can\'t see without them.
i don\'t drop the ex\'s unless they are thieves of some sort. if they are normal and i knew them for a while i used to keep them on my chirstmas card list, but after they marry i often don\'t even do that unless i know their family and send a family card, but i stopped sending christmas cards in the mid 90\'s.
