Heavy heart

Hi fellow moms who have walked where I'm walking. My only child, Jennifer died Nov 26, 2013. She was 36 years old battling ovarian cancer for 8 months. She had just finished 17 weeks of Chemo and scans were negative.  As you can imagine we were so happy and thankful. She went into Hosp 11/20 for dizziness and headache. After 3 days of not really knowing what was wrong. .the diagnosis was cancer cells in spinal fluid which caused estimation of her brain stem so my beautiful daughter died 3 days later....she is in heaven at peace, free of pain but I miss her so much...it is gut wrenching pain....life goes on and im so thankful I know the Lord but my heart hurts....thank you for reading and im looking forward to support and hugs...I promise I'll give them back!

Thank you for sharing a little about your amazing daughter. As painful as it can be, I\'ve found the more I share Kala the more I find my inner courage and determination to continue in forward, positive motion. Especially when \"the world\" grows tired of hearing the same stories over and over.... I can run here and repeat the stories a million times, and a million times the moms will read and respond and offer comfort.

Love to you!
Love to Jennifer!

So sorry you are here, but glad you found your way. Our hearts hurt with you, and this is a very safe place. I found my way here after the death of my 24 year old son Brett last October. It helps to be able to let it all out and not be judged. Tight hugs to you and Jennifer.

Holding your heart in this safe and sacred place of healing as only other mothers can who walk beside one another.

I am SO sorry to hear about what Jennifer endured and wish the outcome could have been different. Such a brave soul to have done all that she could and with loving family by her side every step of the way.

Your loss is so very recent and raw... Whatever comes into your heart is what it needs to be for today and this moment is all any of us have. Enter gently into it and come here to feel understood and held.

Heartfelt hugs for Jennifer and for you,
XO Joanie

I am really sorry for the reason that we are friends, but I am glad that we all have each other on this journey. I found this haven after the loss of my 33 year old son, Michael, to an accidental heroin overdose. I know that I would not be the person I am today without the amazing strength here at FMO. The Mom\'s here are the only people I ever feel \"normal\" with...because we all understand what our sense of normal is now.
Peace. Belinda

Vicki,

As Jennifer\'s angel day approaches, you\'ll be in my thoughts & prayers. I know you miss your daughter SO VERY MUCH!

I had a major loss on Nov. 26, too- my mother. However, it was back in 1980- almost 34 years ago. She passed from breast cancer that metastasized into ovarian cancer & was just 61 - the same age I am now.Don\'t remember if I told you that already, but bear w/ me as my memory isn\'t as good as it used to be.

Our path isn\'t easy but at least we\'re TOGETHER on it. Hope it helps some to remember that.

Love,

Donna
