i need to get ear ointment for a rescue - wonder if INFANT ear drops or ointment would work, as we use eye opthalmic for newborns for some things. they are using a new ear med for cat ear infection this year, instead of animax ointment (which is good for many things) or otomax (which we used for dogs), its a new one called mometamax and it costs $35. animax was around $10, what a difference. it has to be handled though. its the second flare up for this cat.
went to the hope store and the manager was there. she lost more weight! i couldn't believe it. she is on the suzanne somers thing, no white food (the color white) and all that. she is like half the size she was a year ago. wow! picked up hair color and cookies and she found capezin for muscle rub for me. its made with red pepper and works through the night, but its difficult to get off of the skin, so i don't use it much. it was 75 percent off of normal cost, but still need the cheapy from the dollar store which actually works wonderful and the menthol in it kind of makes you a bit buzzed or something. very relaxing and works for about 5 hours.
picked up animal supply and ran into mk who offered opened product, he's been wonderful for the passed year or so. then the store called two hours later to see if i can do a bottlefeed rescue. so called rn on that and still waiting for a response, both of us are backed up but at least she is home during the day and i'm not.
went to dinner at k's (one hour late, but i called) he made baked chicken breast, veggies and wine, i brought him more sugarless jello (the sugarless thing is a new thing as well) for his stomach. and then a bunch of cake mixes because the hope store had them on sale, two for one. have to remember to go over to his house early one day and make them as we have some left from last time there was a sale. this is a new change, mostly because clf isn't there to do landscaping stuff, so k can't hang out cooking and grilling (clf died 3 years ago) and tyler isn't there since last year and the new handy person he hired isn't getting enough done, so he's doing it himself. k has the pre-diabetes thing, i think its new though, because he always bought cake in the past. i have pre-diabetes as well, but its under control since i gave up bread and white pasta most of the time and some sugar - i also stopped eating steak weekly and meat in small portions (if at all). its the, 'you have to watch it' thing the doctor says. also discovered he still didn't go to the doctor about his stomach. i don't think he wants to know.
rg was there as well with his new car. he has made friends with k's siamese cat that doesn't like anyone except pl, and pl is still in texas. it lets me pet it as well only sometimes, and this took 3 years. its been there 3 years - a rescue, its owner died. beautiful and pure bred.
running behind about one hour with everything so far this week. don't know why, even with taking a full day for just me. the deck got cleaned off because of the storms and looks great. did a bunch of laundry. washed the car. i've taken up weeding, for some reason. addictive weeding. i see weeds and i start bending to pull them out by the root. lol. never thought i'd ever be into that, i started enjoying weeding after my knee healed because i was so thrilled i could bend and now here i am. the asshole at work is still doing shit, so have to still work on that. grrrr. js is back to wanting to look at universities in alabama, so something else to add to the list (but i'm thrilled actually, her "year off" after highschool, is more than a year by now).

I don\'t think I could give up my white foods! I love milk too much. And cheese. I\'m such a dairy freak! Does this mean you can have ice cream, as long as it\'s chocolate? ;) Your journal is filled with busy busy busy doing doing doing! I\'m exhausted just reading it! Hope you get some rest and ME time, too! *HUGS*
i know what you mean, when i was ill, if i read a busy journal i got tired just reading the activity and i know nowadays, books that are dramatic that i used to enjoy when i was younger, are too much for me now. i need calmer material. so odd to be old, but i\'m positive that is what it is, could also be blood pressure and the body protecting itself from spikes in blood pressure.
I hope the poor kitty gets the ear problem solved!!!
I eliminated white foods a long time ago! I\'ve always known that they are bad for you...white flour anything is not good. It\'s easily replaceable with wheat pasta, wheat everything!! Hubby had to stop it as well. It really is no good for us. I also became lactose intolerant when I got CFS, so I can\'t have my skim milk or my cheese anymore....sniff! REALLY miss my chocolate milk and DQ. Just plain sad, is what this is!!
However, I can have yogurt and small amounts of cottage cheese and some cheddar or mozzarella...it\'s the American cheese that kicks the pain up!!
Have a great weekend, 79!
chocolate soymilk is really good. if i get grouchy, i drink chocolate soymilk, leafy salad and yogart and my mood turns around. have no idea why but it seems to be necessary to have those three items at all times and if i don\'t, i become really grouchy and negative and then i think on it and its like oh, i need chocolate soymilk and all that other stuff.
ended up with human ear drops $43, if i got the animal ones its only $35, but then there is an office visit. i really only needed otomax or animax which is $15, but couldn\'t find the catalogs where you don\'t need a prescription, like australia or canada. very annoying, makes me want to get a vet license. lol. how does that work in other countries. in usa its the same as medical school. 3 years after the 4 year degree and requisites and vet residency. wonder how my brain would do with all of this nowadays.
i noticed the animal has like a big pink blob or swelling in there. wth?
