Healthcare reform
I am so sick of listening to fools complain and try to overturn the healthcare bill. As a person with a very serious pre-existing medical condition with a 25 year old daughter who also has serious pre-existing medical conditions and no health insurance, I would not be able to afford medical care without the healthcare bill that was passed by President Obama. I am so tired of those who never have to worry about medication copays versus food, or rent or any of the other costly day to day expenses, trying to cause me additional out of pocket expenses. I know that I am ranting, but I am in pain. I take too many medications that I would not be able to afford without my medical insurance and many I can't afford with my medical insurance and I am feeling overwhelmed by my life choices. I want and need to get back into school. I have dreams that I want to follow. I want to be happier than I am.

Brenda, I couldn\'t agree with you more! The people who complain about this bill are the ones who have the most and are the greediest! I could go on this rant with you, I mostly try to ignore politics, but this is serious stuff! It is a constant underlying stressor, the medical bills and insurance mess. I also hear you about wanting to follow your dreams and be happier, hang in there and keep on trying. I\'m behind you 100%

I was without health insurance for about 15 years and I can\'t tell you what a blessing it is to have coverage. I agree with you both 100% - I have told my (covservative Republican) Congress woman that I really want single payer coverage - bet that went in the round file :-) As a nurse, it is just so hard know that the U.S. is so far behind other industrialized nations in the administration of health care. We have some of the best medicine in the world if you can access it! I have had friends from other countries just laugh at our health care system. Well, enough ranting. Let\'s hope/pray for wise decisions regarding the health care bill.
