Healthcare

I now have the onerous duty of finding a new doctor and psychiatrist and psychologist for each of us.
As we both require therapy and medication management, both psychiatric medication and thyroid medication management, this cannot be put off too long. Try as I might, however, I cannot seem to find providers that are both adequate and take the low-class insurance we have.
I've already had the humiliation of applying for (and possibly being denied) Medicaid to suppliment the medicare and pay the premium, as was being done in Maine, and now I have the pleasure of attending to the "clinic" system to be further humiliated in order to get a sub-standard doctor to prescribe my medication, and that of my daughter.
I will apparently have to go through the process twice for each of us, it seems, as you cannot find a doctor that will see to both your health and sanity. Since I am on a fixed income, because of social security, I will have to provide them with proof of income, as well as other documentation, in order to "qualify" to be seen by one of their sub-standard doctors.
In order to get a doctor that actually knows what she is doing, however, I would have to pay the deductable and the co-payment, which would put me in financial difficulties.
And neither of us is actually sick. If either of us actually becomes sick, we are in big trouble!
And my back is killing me.
