Health is vital
I want to feel GOOD.
I cannot express how poor health can derail improvement in mental health. There I was, feeling better mentally and physically for about a month and then... BAM. I thought I could do things that I used to do. They weren't big things. Just cleaning my kitchen and vacuuming my front room and family room. I don't have a big house. I didn't deep clean the kitchen. No rearranging cupboards or anything, just really scrubbing the sink and the stovetop, wiping down the countertops, doing the things that had been neglected by my kids and husband for SO LONG. I appreciate their help yet they do not see the same things I see in cleaning. I see a need to clean the sink after loading the dishes. They are satisfied to get the majority of dishes into the dishwasher and starting it. :-/However, I've been back and forth a few times with the doctor's office and getting lab work and my electrolytes are low, my creatine is high, but they're not like send me to the hospital kind of numbers. I'm still in pain and cramping in my body, pressure in my head, neck, headaches, and so on. Add a hacking cough due to lisinopril and I'm a f-ing mess that can't sleep at night and when I finally do, I snore and/or cough all night and wake up my husband. Sigh. That doesn't help him OR me.
So, I broke down crying in the doc's office this morning. I'm tired of going in there looking for pain pills and yet I'm afraid of not getting anything to deal with the pain. I'm going off of 3 blood pressure meds and changing to 1 single med. THANK GOODNESS. I'm starting Neurotin, to help with the nerve pain, and a muscle relaxer to hopefully get my shoulders and neck to chill the hell out. Hopefully that will help me sleep better at night and let my body actually sleep instead of jerking awake and clenching tight. The depression is much easier to handle right now and I know that Cymbalta is helping that. Thank heaven. :-)dea
