Hello!

Just want to say my power went back on Sat. night. 7 1/2 days of pure hell, although it could have been a lot worse when I see the poor people that lost everything.  My cable/internet just came back on today.  Lots of people are still off. I want to catch up on journals.  I will wright more later. Wheeeeeeeew!  Glad it is over, at least for me. Anita

So glad that you didn\'t lose your home or anything like that. Some of the photos, where everything was washed away were so alarming. Mother Nature surely can throw some curve balls!
Hopefully, the hurricane season will end early or something and everyone will get the help they need to more than survive.
My brother\'s home, in Punta Gorda, was directly in the Eye of a storm several years ago and I was amazed at how long it took for things to get repaired, etc.. He lives in a rather affluent area, but still, a year later, some people had tarps on their roof and claims unpaid. I think that Jac was lucky because he owns his home...so he had much faster service. It still was very traumatic, and they said they would never, \"ride out a storm\" again.
We don\'t have this kind of storm in the pacific northwest, but the Sunami\'s are always a possibility at the coast. Everyone has something to deal with, I suppose.
well, I do hope that you and all of your family are fine. How is your pregnant D.I.L. doing? When is the baby due? I had sooooo much fun playing with our little Oliver. And, at one year, he realizes he\'s our \"star\" and was hamming it up like crazy!
Isn\'t it great to have grandchildren?
well, time to go and watch the Red Sox.
hugs and welcome back, lindamae
