He Was Tired

We went to a Christmas Concert by Chris Tomlin...It was a wonderful concert.  I never know how I am going to take the music but it was beautiful.  He is traveling with I think a minister who half way through the concert he comes out and speaks.
He was a good speaker Louie was his first name.  He was funny...He read the part where the Angels came to tell that Jesus was born....He wanted us to get into the message and described it so well that made you feel like you were right there seeing that angel and everything that was going on.
Then he got sorta somber and starting talking about what the people (us) may be going through.  So there it came...the sadness, the sorrow, and I stood there amazed at me, I did not get upset.  He mentioned people losing someone close to them and it being the first Christmas without them...I would have thought I would have lost it...but I was I am sure not the only one there going through pain.  So I stood strong and listened.
Then they brought out a family.  The guy that gets these Christian Concerts to our area....Just a short time ago, the doctors didn't even give him this long to live.  It was sad, as I sit there listening to his story, he didn't speak and he was so thin, and so weak, and his eyes they were like Ken's eyes last year...so tired...his body..so tired...the smile he tried to show...so tired....and I thought to myself that was how Ken was feeling.  Just as cancer had taken over this man's body so did it Ken's and he was just so tired.  The man had been standing, but they quickly got him a chair.....He probably does not have much longer but that night up there being so tired, he was praised for his work....he was humble too, but so tired.
The amazing thing that happened is Chris Tomlin and his group made a decision that all proceeds for that night would go to this family and the place was packed.
What a wonderful way to show someone while they are still here how much they are cared for....the money I'm sure is already spent for medical bills, treatments, etc. but what a blessing to relieve this dear family with some relief of medical bills and hopefully some good times this Christmas which will probably be his last one.
All was beautiful, all was wonderful, all was meaningful, all was thankful....
But what I remember most....He was so tired....and that I see in Ken's last pictures:  He Was Just So Tired!
I love you Ken, and I am glad to know that your not So Tired....Enjoy the Christmas Season in Heaven.......
