He wants out and I'm heartbroken

So today, I confronted my husband about his recent sneaky behavior and he states he should leave! No couseling, no talking, just leave. 16 years together and two children and he wants to leave. The hardest thing is that I can't stop him. If I do, he might resent me or just continue the same stuff behind my back because he knows he can get away with it. Is there something against therapy? He says it's not for him. He also says because my parents (who dislike their own children) are not accepting of him and he can't take it anymore? WHAT?!?!? How fair is it to judge your marriage on the family? I have no control over their feelings, they can't even tell their own children that they love them. Why does he think he is so special? I don't know what to do!
