man in seattle that left 200 million to charity, while living "frugally" most of his life, working as a lawyer for 30 years, investing in stock, taking a bus to work, living in a one bedroom apartment, cutting coupons .... nothing left to his step children or other relatives. public never knew he was rich.

windy and 60 degrees. kind of bored right now. its too windy to do much of anything. i have discovered "purina one" is giving the animals the runs. i called to complain and they said either the formulation is different or its a bad batch. so i wrote on my calendar not to buy it and instead buy iams as their holiday treat dry food...
(normally i buy purina complete, i was going to switch to purina naturals, but it seems like they go through that one faster even though its a premium). i stopped buying iams because they were caught doing something bad with animals even though the animals do really well on their food. hope i remember though.
my car was running cold, which makes the car burn more gas. it was only the one night when it was 38 degrees out. today its normal again, so trying to decide if i should do anything. maybe new antifreeze? what's the bit with all the car crap all of a sudden.
more fence came down because of the wind and that sucks. the girls made fettucine this time, i usually make it every year. js was here (i thought she would be working). this is the first year where the idea of SEEING a bird sitting anywhere, in the oven or on my table disgusted me, so not even an attempt on that and restrained myself from buying steaks even though they were on sale. (lots of desserts though. lol.) no one was surprised as i didn't go to the luau this year because i didn't want to see a pig being roasted (just writing that is making me sick).
i ate a smalllll portion of stuffing and a small portion of mashed potatoes with gravy and the rest was salad. yay! i also have left over fish for today - to me its just as good microwaved as it is grilled. we did not do lobster this year. i read that lobsters live 100 years and are pregnant for 9 months just like we are. they sound like they should be a pet, not for dinner and feeling kind of guilty for eating so much lobster through the years. never occurred to me about lobster being a good pet and similar to humans.

I buy Purnia One for Angela and she doesn\'t get the runs.... it really could have been a bad batch.
i\'m DONE with purina one - this has happened before with that brand and it NEVER happens with iams. it also doesn\'t happen with purina naturals which is cheaper and purina complete which is the cheapest of the three. its the same price as iams and publix also has a premium now, but no large bags of it. i\'m sooooo annoyed. i will wait it out, more than one animal got the runs from it...if its still runny in two weeks, i\'ll treat for parasites. i hope we don\'t get anymore rescues in. we have more than enough on our plate and lots of placing out to do. having to bring allll the kittens in to be fixed is a new thing for us, we always let the adopters do it, so its more time consuming and we wait longer to place them out...have no idea how this will go. really need to look for a fishing camp or something to use as a sanctuary -- maybe a storage facility purchase, those have acreage normally and make money.
ran into another rescue person and she said the same thing, kittens being born doesn\'t follow a pattern in the passed couple of years (which is weird, as animals normally mate only at certain times of the year. makes you wonder. normally i would think it was a sign of hurricanes but we haven\'t had much of that in a couple of years....whatever.
