HE LEFT ME, SO WHY NOW DOES HE WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING!!!

I guess I don't understand if he was soooo unhappy that he had to leave to go find himself, or can't handle the responsibility of his family, then why does he constantly want to know what i'm doing. I have cut off all communication with him now for over a week now. I will respond with a text only if it's about our 10 yr old or money... I will not see him face to face or talk to him on the phone. He sends me text messages all day long "How's Austin?" How are you? How are the dogs? How is the house hunting going?  How much is the deposit? Blah Blah Blah....... Every little thing he thinks of he calls or text me. He hasn't been this interested in what I have had to say in the past 10 yrs!!!! Why now when I just want to be left alone, I just want to heal and move on like he said he was doing but I don't see how he could be making his life any better when he spends all is time worrying about mine????????????
