Hazards

Having a puppy can be hazardous!  I'm nursing a three inch abrasion on my left wrist with Kit around.  Actually, it wasn't his fault.  We live in a very small house so things get crowded.  And that goes to the very short "hallway" that leads to the bedrooms, bathroom, and utility closet.  It is here that Kit's pillow stays.  I take diuretic pills which makes for some mad dashes to the bathroom.  Well, on one mad dash, I stepped on the pillow wrong and slammed my arm on the door frame. I thought I'd broken my arm!  Luckily, I just lost a little skin and bruised pretty bad.  I found I CAN wrap my right arm with my left hand so it covered pretty well.  Its stopped hurting and I'm being a little more careful.  Walking around the house is an adventure, especially at night with large and small milkbones, rawhide bones, and toys in some of the least expected places.  But, with all the hazards, there are the good things,,,like listening to the sounds he makes as he runs all over the house while I reading the newspaper in the bathroom, playing with him, watching him streak around the backyard, and the quiet times in the recliner.  The good times always outweigh the bad.  And that's a good thing.

I\'ve been meaning to respond to your journals, and you are so right about that puppies can be a hazard! But O so cute, and a joy to be sure
Glad that the good times outweigh the bad, that balance is always good.

Hope your arm is doing okay, and glad you did not break it! whew

My house has gone to the dogs! Toys are everywhere. Both my dogs have taken over and we sure have to watch where we walk at all times. But, you are right about the good outweighing the bad. Dogs make the best companions (and friends) and Daisy and Cinder say \"woof, woof\" to Kit. Glad you didn\'t break your arm, but sorry about the missing skin and bruises though. Luckily, they will heal with time. Hugs!
