having a good day
Now that I have calmed down and am not freaking out about the transplant comment from the rheumy, I am actually been having a few good days. Small pain in my right hand but nothing severe. Went to the grocery store....alone! LOL Hubby is a wonderful man but can sometimes take over and smother a bit. When I am whiney and miserable it is great to be taken care of but when I feel good and want to act like nothing is wrong it can be annoying.....I know I know, I'm never happy...lol.
Made a great dinner and got the dishes done too! Noe I am sitting on my tush watching the tube and updating my journal. Maybe it is because we finally got the mattress figured out and I am slrrping well again, now I just need to get back to the Wii and getting my exercise in, cause this weight isn't going anywhere on it's own, except to my gut. I do have a question for the group at large but will post that in discussions later.
I have been doing some research on holistic treatments and new meds that are being tested for the fibrosis and am well armed for my next Dr. appoitment. I am also looking into a naturopath and accupuncture to see if there is any benefit. I have a friend that does reiki treatments so I thought I would go for another one of those too, Can't hurt Has anyone had any luck with massage therapy? I'm not sure if it would help or hurt, I suppose it would depend on the pain level at the time and the strenght of the therapist.
Well I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone is well.

I have been doing homeopathy for 3 years now and it has helped with my diffuse systemic scleroderma. I think it is great that you are looking into alternative medicine. It has been my lifeline towards healing. I also do vitamins and supplements, but do not take excessive dosages. Hope you will share your journey of finding your path to health. Good luck & (((HUGS)))
I think you are going to love acupuncture, my body tingles just thinking about it. Just make sure your practitioner is licensed from a good school. I\'ve had a few reiki treatments, but the acupuncture works faster. My husband has read up on massage and will give me one whenever I ask for it. It does help some, except when I\'m flaring, then it\'s too painful. I\'m so glad that you are feeling better. I wish you could chat with my stepmom, she has fibro also and is starting all natural treatments. She has found a homeopathy medicine that was made by a MD especially for fibro. I forgot what it is called, but will get the name for you. She said that it was real inexpensive and I had her read the ingredients to me, no red flags. She is feeling better than she has in years. She did the drug route in order to work, but they just kept making her feel worse, so she threw them away. I will also ask her permission to give you her handle here. She doesn\'t do much with the fibro group, I suspect that her reasons you would understand very well. Hope you have a great day and continue to feel better and better.
