Have you ever felt conned?
I have been thinking a lot about things here and reading comments of others here on DS about friendships. Have you ever felt that you have been conned by some of the friends here on DS?
Sometimes you send message after message to a "friend" on your "friend" list and you never hear anything for a long, long time. When they finally respond, they say, "I just don't get on DS much". If that be true, how come they are seen on chat for at least an hour at a time. They seem like they are trying to appease their own conscience or, they are just being "nice" instead of either telling you that they have ignored your messages rather than remove you from their "friends" list.
I guess I am from the old school but, when you send them nice messages. share your week or day with them. Tell them what is happening in your life and you ask them what is happening in theirs. You try to form some type of common ground to message about and learn more about them, to strengthen and improve your friendship and, they just ignore it all and never message back. I just don't understand this at all. I understand that we all have issues and things that we deal with on a daily basis but, somewhere in our time frame, we could at least answer a message.
Is this just me that feels this way? I am sorry but, if I am that lousy of a friend, that I do not answer messages that are written to me, over and over again, then remove me as a friend because to me, I must not really be a friend at all.
