Have to Brag on Her and My other Strong Swans too!
I had such a wonderful weekend. Al and I went out east to LongIslandKat's house. Kathy is my cousin. We have always been like sisters. I am the oldest. My Kathy, lost her darling Phil to a painful disease. She watched and nursed and took care of him, her children and their business. She also brought back both her Mom and her Dad to New York from Florida when they could no longer take care to themselves. Kat took care of them too. If you knew this gal, you would never see a sourpuss face. Always smiling, always nurturing, a kind word and deed for all who know her. She is a Unatarian Universalist and teaches English to little Spanish speaking children at her congregation. Kathy made a beautiful dinner and two other of our friends also came for dinner. We had a blast talking about all the crazy rich folk in the Hamptons. It costs $2,500 for a helicopter ride from mid-town Manhattan to East Hampton and $40,000.00 for a seasonal rental for a beach house. Those rich people have deep pockets, but our friend who is a carpenter, can work 24/7 cause the rich are always coming up with more and more ideas on how to change stuff around. He said, when it come time to get paid, the rich like to make the workers wait for their money and they also like to then change the prices they agreed on. No wonder the locals despise them. OH Well - I thought we were in a ressession. We are, but they are not. We also took Al to the local thrift shop in the afternoon. He had a ball. He bought two garbage bags stuffed with clothes. All good baseball jerseys and lots of fun stuff. He can't get over that it was only $40.00 for it all. I am so glad he is happy too. I am so grateful to have my cuz Kathy. I wish her love and peace of mind and I pray she can learn to sleep better. I know my other girie-girls who have lost their loves have it rough in the nightime. You gals are great. Woman like you are jewels in the crown of femininity. Like lost Swans without their mates. Unlike birds, you stay and you will last, and live, and see your husbands live on in your grandchildren. Luv Ree
