have swollen glands and feel run down//snake inside house up north today//reading berman's memoir
lost a message/journal. good ol ds. i have swollen glands very bad and i feel run down. i think its from lack of sleep. k gave me an article on sleep, stating that adults need 7 straight hours. i'm getting 7 hours but not straight. the foreigner woke me up again at 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. can't you get a life and not walk the main road around here anymore. there are a zillion social things to do that don't cost anything, read the free paper the ads are in there. you only live once. choose a few social things and do that. who in the world walks up and down a main road in the middle of the night like that. wonder. or move to chattanooga, tennessee and go to college for free. be an x-ray technician (radiography) and make something of yourself. chattanooga is about the same size as cities in north florida, except here they charge you for college.
i don't know why i can hear her, even with the a/c on and the overhead fan. i'm going to try the box fan and see if that drowns her out. the whole thing is so strange anyway, why is she walking over here when she doesn't even live around here. my neighbor actually told her landlord to stop renting to her because she has been trespassing and making a nuisance of herself for a couple of years. i'm never here, so i wouldn't even know about most of it. if that is how they live in "her country" she needs to return to her country. problem solved. but not here. tna was blaming her for the mailbox, but i have no idea at all if she did that. if she did, its vandalism. feels really strange to be targeted like this. my doctor said i can actually sue for medical as a result of the harassment and being woken up by her a few times per night for the passed eighteen months.
we had a snake inside the house up north today. i had to call the sheriff's office and they showed up with two officers and shooed it out. yay! its a black snake, so not poisonous but they say they can bite if scared. stuff like that happens yearly in north florida, but has never happened when i am here before, not INSIDE - as amazing as that is. had i not been here when it happened i probably wouldn't have believed it. we need one of those poles with bag that professional snake catchers use. you aren't supposed to kill black snakes. they eat mosquitos. it was around 4 feet long. when i called it in, i thought it was smaller than that.
have been having a lot of heavy rain. found the paint that tna was talking about, finally, except i already bought the other paint. have to call bobp and see when he can start. sooooo much to get done. i have to give him a list. haven't heard from byn even though i contacted him about other stuff over a week ago. everyone has trouble with their handymen like that.
went to dinner with j and a to a place i normally go for lunch. NOT GOOD. bad idea. the shrimp and the fruits and melons are the same and that's the main thing i eat anyway, along with sushi. its buffet. but i didn't like the main dishes at all, it was completely different than during the day. i hope i remember not to try this again. ak's 26 year old granddaughter just had a baby girl, age ten months and they are visiting via the orlando airport. time really flies. ten years ago she was a teenager living with her mother and grandparents.
just started matt berman's memoir. everyone is writing memoirs. and i'm still reading ted kennedy's - his beginning stuff is good so far. reading berman is freaky because i actually remember when they were hiring for that magazine for both support staff and writers before it even opened. the going joke on that was that his girlfriend didn't want any girls working there who were over 5'2" because he is 6'3 and normally only dates tall women. she didn't want any competition around. so you go to that office and every female there are these tiny women, but the men are tall. lol. a lot of people didn't want to work there at all because of the fame crap that you would have to deal with, so the pay was higher to compensate for the aggravation. they said even with that, most of the qualified people won't go near it and the ones that DO want it are one-off themself. its very sad as you go along because you already know what the outcome is. i'm in a photo from that and i look like this rock star amongst all these conservatives at a conference table. so funny. so long ago. if i were young right now, i'd keep my hair as long as it is now and dye it pink and blue - so fun, its so in your face.
b's mother was so crazy she used to harp on her to apply to work there even though there wasn't a job there that she could actually do AND b was in litigation in two states for working without a license, she was already in trouble for saying she was certified to do things that she wasn't certified to do at all. she always got caught eventually, so why keep doing it. her mother would act like the stepmother in cinderella with the evil stepsisters trying to hook them up with something they can never get. lol. she would say it to her husband and sister, imagine if b nabs a catch like that. and her husband would say, whatever you say. since neither of her kids even finished college it was a dumb suggestion. they didn't travel in circles like that - so why say it. its probably hard on the child to have a parent like that. she'd tell b that if she were young she'd be dating him and b would believe it. you would have to sit her down and say to her, b, your mother is around the age of bob kennedy, do you really think he would date her? do you really think that bob kennedy would go out with your mother, back when your mother was young? do you realllly think that. your father owns diners and never went to college. bob kennedy went to harvard. not saying he is a good person, just saying he went to harvard.
