Harmony once again with 2 sons.

I called our youngest tonight, telling him I still loved him and we needed to talk.  We both decided that maybe both of us were suffering from PTSD from going through Chuck's illness and death.   He needed to vent.  I think he would be there to help me if needed.  He told me he still needed me in his life.  He had already eaten, so I took him with me so I could get a burger and he got some ice cream.   We hugged and he went home for the evening.
Next, I called our oldest son.  He came over to eat some Chinese food leftovers. (Food always works.)  I wasn't that made at him, but also wanted to have a talk with him.  So, we talked, hugged and then left for the evening.
Once again, there is harmony between the three of us and we have each other's support.

I\'m happy you worked things out with your sons. They really have no idea how important they are to us. Here\'s hoping it\'s smoother sailing for awhile. Hugs to you. Judy

Glad every thing is better with the boys. This grieving process is so hard on everyone and affects each of us so differently. Early on, in my process, I think I pushed my kids away a little.....didn\'t mean to......glad that they were smarter than I was at the time and understood how I was feeling. Thankfully, that has passed and we are all really closer as a result of everything that has happened. A big hug for the day. Dianne

That is great! It is very important to stay in harmony with your kids. Its a very hard time for all of you, and you certainly need each other\'s support. Glad you had a good night with each son. Hugs, Joely
