Hard Month For Me

January is a hard month for me.  Jan.the 12th, 1999, my mom passed away.  Jan the 13th was my son's birthday.  He was killed in a car wreck in 2005 and Jan 10th, my ex-wife died one year ago.   These were people who had a great influence on my life. They were those I spent a lot of sad times, glad times and a lot of memories with.  This month already, I have preached the funeral of 2 friends I have known for years.  Today, I found out one of my friend's son was found dead this morning.  He was 32.  Man, this is tough.

Oh wow, this is a lot to take in. My heart goes out to you.

I\'d like to share something that I heard years back that really stayed with me. It was something that Dr. Phil said on Oprah to a guest who had lost her daughter. He told her that she was focusing on the day of her daughter\'s death rather than celebrating the event of her life. \"She lived for (age) vibrant and wonderful years, and you focus on the day she died.\" I\'m in NO way saying that you do this nor am I saying that you shouldn\'t remember the day that your loved ones died, as that is normal. It\'s just what comes to my mind whenever anyone talks about dates that their loved ones have passed away on because it was an a-ha moment for me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as well as your friend and his family.

I have a horrible memory , but I knew all of these things happened, just not the dates.... I didn\'t know about your friend\'s son though.... I am so sorry sweetie.. gosh.. so much loss. I know how hard all of this is on you..... I do.

I KNOW I LEFT YOU A MESSAGE BUT THE DEATH OF YOUR FRIENDS SON IS NEW. PEEWEE, IM SO VERY SORRY YOUR GOING THRU ALL OF THIS SORROW. MY HEART JUST BREAKS FOR YOU. I AM PRAYING FOR YOU AND ASKING GOD TO HELP YOU THRU ALL OF THIS AND ALSO FOR THE FAMILY OF YOUR FRIEND. I JUST CANT IMAGINE.
