Hard month

I just can't believe what a hard time i am having these past few weeks. I am really having a hard time me. Just thinking that last year this time, I was with my mother, we were having lunches and laughing and now it's this year and she's not hear.  Went to church yesterday for palm sunday. I cried the whole time, took some palm to the cemetary and just am feeling really alone.  I just miss her so much and miss having someone tell me it's all going to be alright. I wish she would visit me in my dreams and give me a hug.  I am so missing that, who am I kidding i miss everything.  I guess I am very anxious lately, feeling that I could burst into tears at any moment. Hard to listen to the radio again, hard to even talk to her, b/c I just end up crying and thinking how sad i am.   I find it hard to talk to my friends, even tho they are understanding, I think they must be so sick of hearing me say that I am sad and how hard it is without her.  My dad has been keeping himself busy, and I know he is hurting without her, but he has never been one to talk about things, so I don't want to bring him down with how I am feeling.  My sisters are there, but they are feeling it too, it's just hard.  and I feel like a broken record.  I am making cornbeef and cabbage today for St Patty's day..... bringing a little irish into my italian house.  I love it.  They are getting back to school now, and I have to play with them now.  Thanks for listening. Happy st patty's day!!

From one Italian Mom, I just wanted to give you a hug and say that I am sure that your Mom appreciated you and the lunches and the laughter. I have stage 4 follicular lymphoma. I also have children and adult children. It is hard to be sick, and having to leave your kids behind is just torment, but know that you will be with your Mom again one day. DON\'T BE SAD! THIS life is the tough part. I know you miss your Mom, but you also knew her so well, it is like she is with you anyways. I am sure that you know just what she would say....right? Feel blessed that you had her, and do lots of fun stuff and you\'ll have lots to fill her in on when you see her again...and I am sure you will. Give your Dad an extra hug for me. If I can be of any help at all, please feel free to ask. God bless and take care,

I wish my mom had DS, maybe she would have poured her heart out on how she was feeling. She always said if she blocks it out and focus\'s on her kids and grandkids, she is happy and it\'s all she needs. But I always feel she was so worried about us and never could share her fear, her hopes., she always took care of us, always worried about us, my Dad, the kids, never herself. I don\'t want to be sad, but i am, I know that i was so blessed, people don\'t even come close to having the bond that we shared, so yes, i am blessed that I had her. I want to remember the fun and happy times, not the sick ones. I know that the cancer did not define who she was, she was just amazing. I had so much more to learn from her. Her friends are great, they want to teach me how to make some of her famous dishes. and I will!! You are amazing, you are strong and have alot of support, I hope my mom felt that all with me and my sisters and dad. Thanks so much! I hope things get better with your daughter, my mom always said you have to want to help yourself first, i hope she can see that you love her and support her and she just has to make the first move. Thanks so much Sandi, you are amazing. xo lori
