I have been thinking about what generosity means as the ‘season ‘ is upon us. I don’t have extra money to be handing out or buy the gifts I would like for everyone. So I am finding modest gifts that I think will make people smile. Because that’s what generosity is to me now. Giving of ourselves to help others feel better and remind them that life IS the gift. I have been unwittingly selfish for a long time because my fears kept me as a sort of prisoner inside myself. Unable to give happiness to others as I was running too much to learn how to stop and breathe and generate it in myself. I am changing that. (I think it’s a project for the rest of my life) The more we get out of our own stuckness (egos) the more present we are for others. This is true giving. And the feeling that comes from this practice is what I am giving thanks for this year. I wish it on my worst enemy lol (thankfully don’t have any) Happy Holidays
