Happy saturday :) We prepared today, for Hurricane. We have warning here. wishing everyone safety.
Happy Saturday! :) Popcorn movies day, preparing for the hurricane, and spending time with our plants <3 We're enjoying a nice day, keeping with our routines, and also preparing for the hurricane that is coming up here to New England. Today, we took some very good time ,to secure our home, yard, garden, we also went to my brother Charlie's house to help him secure his home. patio, and plants. We have a hurricane warning here. our govenor has also declared a state of emergency. Hurricane Henri, is expected to make landfall, beginning tomorrow morning here in new england. they are putting alerts up on our tv, and also on our cell phones. We're nervous, and worried, but are remaining strong. We took all precautions we could today, including getting all of our batteries charged, we have extra batteries, lantern lights, power energy packs, solar chargers, plus i charged up both of my portable dvd players. We're gonna be riding out the storm here at home protecting ourselves, and our pets. my mom and dad are keeping their 2 cars parked on our lawn, next to our snowball bush, away from the power lines. i'm hopeful, i'll be able to be online in the morning ,to post a quick journal or two, to update everyone. widespread power outages are very possible. i'll do my best to give everyone updates when i can. Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with all of us here in New England, Northeast, wishing us all safety, and comfort, hoping and praying that everyone who is in the path of the storm, will be ok and safe. many prayers for everyone who has family, friends, relatives in the path of the storm. we are very worried about the trees, especially the ones in our backyard and in our neighbor's yards. Thank you angel friends, for all of your prayers, warm well wishes, for us all to be safe. We love you all bunches and bunches! :) Holly and i secured our plants best we could today, and spent time with our plants, i took pictures to share :) We're gonna make it through this storm. we're hopeful the storm will pass as quickly as it can, and that the calm weather returns soon. To everyone in the path of the storm, keep safe, and take good care. i'm hopeful if power is on tomorrow morning, or any time during the day, i'll be here on DS, and will update everyone, plus if needed, we have wifi hot spots from cell phones, that could me be able to get a quick journal posted if there's any power outages. we feel very confident, in all of the preparations we made and precautions we took today. We're stocked up on water, foods. We're as ready as we can be, for this hurricane. We love you all, and are gonna make it through this <3 Holly and i did watch some movies today, keeping with our saturday movies tradition, and also will watch a movie tonight :) keep safe, and taking good care everyone <3
Hi angel friends! :) i've got some updates to share, including our preparations for the hurricane that is forecasted to make landfall here in New England. my family, Holly, and i hope everyone is doing well, healthy, and enjoying a good day :) our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with everyone, who are in the path of the storm and with everyone who has family, friends, relatives in the path of the storm. Wishing everyone safety, comfort, and we hope everyone will be ok. We are in southern, CT, new England here, in New London county. the national hurricane center has posted up a hurricane warning for our entire county, and our counties to our west also. We've been taking some very important precautions today, preparing for the storm, and severe weather. We hope everyone is stocked up on goods, essentials. widespread power outages are very possible, due to the storm. We did our final preparations today, including helping my brother Charlie prepare. this is very wild, a storm of this strength, coming up the coast. the NHC is forecasting the storm to make a landfall here in New England, into Long Island, and into Connecticut. We're close to the ocean and Long Island sound here, only about 15 to 20 minutes from us. We've been preparing our home, yard, cars, and garden today too. if we lose power, i will have my cell phone on, and we also have wifi-hot spots on some of our phones, where we may be able to get online for a bit, to update everyone.
We've been charging up batteries, and have battery operated lanterns also incase of power outages. i'm hoping to be able to be online in the morning, to update everyone, and to at least get a chance to post an early journal or two, with updates. Our state, and also the NHC, weather has been updating us, including TV alerts, and cell phone alerts. our govenor has declared a state of emergency so that our state can recieve help, after the storm. We're all keeping strong together, and keeping up to date, with the latest updates, and forecasted track of the storm. We're gonna be home, indoors, taking care of our pets, keeping safe, throughout the duration of this storm, which is expected to begin late tonight, into sunday morning, with a landfall of the storm, and all throughout the day on sunday. We're thinking of everyone, and appreciate everyone's love, care, prayers, and warm well wishes for us all to be ok :) Thank you angel friends, so very much! <3 it means the world to us :) to everyone in the path, keep safe, and take good care.

Blossoming into saturday, and the weekend :) This morning, we had a nice new day, rising and shining :)We love the weekend's :) we know it's a very different type of feeling though, going into this weekend, with the storm tracking up the coast here. We wanted to make today, as normal as we could, along with preparations for the storm. i was up early this morning, enjoying some nice time here on DS, writing to friends, and also checked out the coins collecting with Mike show, and was also getting ready for my early morning nature walk :) it was foggy this morning, and looked errie outside. i gathered a big bowl of goodies, and went outside for my nature walk :) it was errie, quiet out there, and almost like that feeling, of the calm before the storm. the fog was thick in some areas. i put lots of goodies in our backyard, for our nature friends, and also checked in on our plants :)
our plants are doing well :) we love our plants, and garden, and are very hopeful, all of our plants will be ok, through this upcoming storm. We've been enjoying the gardening season very much, and with the storm coming, we've taken some precautions to keep our plant safe as they can be, including putting some basket planters on the ground, against our front yard bushes. We have lots of tomatoes, peppers, string beans, snap peas, and flowers, sunflowers growing, and blossoming :) Holly andi have used a bungee cord, to brace our tallest sunflower, we attached the bungee, around the corner of our garden, so that the sunflower will get some extra protection from the bungee cord, and the fence there, which has steel beam supports holding up the fence. our popcorn plants, will be ok too, we have them in the planters, which their roots have grown through the bottom of the planters, to be furthered supported by the ground, which is good :) i'll definitely keep everyone updated on how our plants are doing, we did our very best, to protect them, and will give everyone full update after the storm, about our plants, fruit trees, and all of our trees. We're hoping all of our trees will be ok, our backyard trees, and our neighbor's trees, worry us. we're hoping the trees stay up. Holly and i saw some seagulls today, they were way up in the sky, soaring in circles, it's like they can sense, there's a storm coming.
Storm Preparations. Today, my mom, dad, Holly, and i did lots of work around our home, and yard, to prepare for the storm. we put away our canopy tent in our backyard, we also put our table umbrellas down, we also put our chairs, braced up against the camper in our backyard, we moved to safe areas, anything that could become airborne from the winds, including our bird feeders, ladders. the storm will be coming from the direction off into the distance from the bird sanctuary in our backyard. we are worried about our silver maple trees. my mom and dad have parked their 2 cars, on our front lawn, next to our snowball bush, away from powerlines. my dad trimmed some branches off the tree, that's near our driveway. my mom, dad, Holly, and i went to my brother Charlie's house down the road from us, this afternoon. We helped him get his home, patio/garden prepared. It's very surreal, this storm coming up the coast here, to New England, it's very rare. it's been 30 years, since hurricane Bob in 1991. i remember the storm, i was 10 years old. Today, we charged up lots of batteries, cell phone, portable dvd players, we also have gathered all our battery operated lanterns/lights, in case of power outages.
we have 2 power energy packs, that are fully charged and solar energy charger. we've been checking in on the latest forecast track, and latest updates from our CT news, and the national hurricane center. We're stocked up on water, foods, and are feeling very confident, with all of the preparations, and precautions we've taken, to ensure our safety, and the safety of our home and property. i will definitely keep everyone updated. We're hoping everyone will be ok, safe, throughout this storm, and that the storm passes by quickly. we heard on our news, places like Groton, CT, there's been some evacuations, by the seaside. it's gonna be very wild, the storm surge, and possible flooding. safety is #1, in these types of severe weather events. We're keeping to our normal saturday balance best we can. we are very worried, about the storm, but are keeping strong :) if power is out ,for extended period of time, we do have our BBQ grill. in 2011, when Irene storm tracked up here, we were without power for 3 days, and we cooked on the BBQ grill, it was like camping out after the storm. keep safe everyone.
Today, Holly and i are having a popcorn movies marathon, in between checking the weather updates. We love our special tradition, of popcorn movie party's :) We've been enjoying some foods, snacks, drinks, and watching some zombies themed movies, and picked out a comedy movie to watch tonight :) We look forward to many more popcorn movies marathons :) it's been comforting today, watching some movies, and keeping with the tradition we enjoy each week :) There's lots more new movies coming out, that Holly and i look forward to watching ,including the sopranos sequel movie, called "The many saints of newark", which is coming out in early October :) Cheers! to popcorn movies marathon! :)
We're enjoying a nice day :) Popcorn movies marthon, and tending our plants and garden :) my family, Holly, and i are doing well, healthy, and in good spirits :) Holly and i are enjoying our popcorn movies marathon :) We love this special weekly tradition :) We picked out a new movie to watch tonight :) We feel very safe, secure, and confident, in all of preparations for the storm. It's going to begin to get stormy tonight, into tomorrow morning, and all of tomorrow, as the storm passes through. We're going to be riding the storm out, here at home, indoors, keeping safe. We aren't sure, if power will remain on. we have charged up our batteries, also have lots of extra batteries, and charged up 2 portable dvd players. if we lose power, i'll definitely try to get online with wifi-hot spots from our cell phones here. We're keeping everyone in our thoughts, and prayers, wishing everyone safety, that's in the path of the storm. if power is on tomorrow, as day goes on, i will post updates, most likely 2 or 3 journals, as the day goes on, to update everyone on how we're doing. We're gonna make it through this <3

Greetings, from our garden :) Flowers soaking up some sunshine today :) Holly and i spent some nice time with our plants, and garden today :) We tended our plants, giving them some protection, by moving our hanging basket planters, on the ground by our front bushes, next to our planters on our ground. we also used a bungee cord, to give our tallest sunflower some support :) We're very hopeful, all of our plants will be ok, through this storm, and will continue to grow, and flourish : )We love sharing our garden with everyone :) We love our plants, and are very proud of them :) i'll keep everyone updated, on how our plants are doing, and on how we all are doing, through the storm. View of our city, from my brother's house :) it was nice seeing Charlie today, and being able to help him get ready for the storm.

This is a picture of sky, off into the distance, we had a thick fog this morning. this is the direction/view, from the bird sanctuary area. the ocean is off into this distance, this is where the storm will be coming in from. we're ready, prepared, and keeping safe here at home. keep safe, everyone who is in the path of the storm.
