Happy New Year, Everyone!

It's been almost 4 years since the founding of DailyStrength, and I'm proud to say that millions of people have used our site to share compassion and strength in times of need. For me, personally, DailyStrength has been a great ride -- with all of the stresses of always trying to make the site better, and the satisfaction of seeing so many of you here, day after day. Ultimately, however, I'm proud of the goodness that we -- Lars, myself, and TeamDS, as well as you, the members -- have created out of the pain and challenges of our lives.I've put so much into DailyStrength and now I feel that it's time for me to step back and let others continue the mission. To make sure that DailyStrength holds firm to our commitment to grow and improve the site, I've asked Lars, my co-founder and friend, to take the reins. Lars will lead the solid team of people we have in place, known to most of you as TeamDS, and I'm excited about what they will create in 2010 and beyond. From today forward, TeamDS, which better represents all of the great people behind DailyStrength, will take over the posting of Daily Affirmations and will be the first profile to "friend" each new member.I'll continue to be around DailyStrength in my favorite role, as a member.I can't thank you enough for trusting me with your most intimate feelings and thoughts. Because of your willingness to share and grow, we have built a support community here unlike anything else on the Web. I look forward to seeing you all on the site.Doug
