so, bl says to me, that she knew to file for the mortgage insurance but didn't on purpose because she wanted it to appear worthless so she could switch it over to her own name and out of trust, then wait it out and then file the mortgage insurance and sell it unknown to anyone and pocket the whole thing.
no idea if he is telling the truth. my neighbor says she sold her mom's house out from under her when her mom was in the hospital and then had to buy something quickly that was similar and bought this sight unseen through bl as the realtor. and obviously bought high. then bl says and what happened to everything INSIDE the mother's house.
p says bl told her to unload the mortgage insurance and he didn't even know what mortgage insurance was. WHY would anyone unload mortgage insurance at all if you have heirs.
he says its lies and is just being said because it all became complicated when she switched the house into her own name and refinanced it and dropped the mortgage insurance. I said to bl, even if she did that, it would be AFTER the death of her mother so the insurance would still be in affect. she would have to write a letter of cancelation to get rid of it. and even if she did that, if her mother had already died, then the mortgage insurance should have been filed and the mortgage would be paid off in full. I don't understand AT ALL, how this became so complicated. e's wasn't paid by the insurance company either, I think the insurance company refused, but it was a different kind of insurance and its illegal. it has to go to court.
my neighbor says its possible that she didn't know what the insurance is and bl says he doesn't believe it at all. he also says the brother washed his hands of it because his mother made her choices with power of attorney before any of this happened.
amazing what happens with these things. lots of times I believe someone and then when you see it in writing it isn't that at all.

someone else said, if she didn\'t file it within TWO YEARS of the death, then she lost the insurance money. is that true. what the hell? i would think it would fall under life insurance laws, not accident laws? have to look this up. i think life insurance is owed to the person indefinitely. oprah did a show on that once. there is like BILLIONS of life insurance out there owed to people that the insurance company \"couldn\'t find\". (one of those people was Angelina Jolie. hmmm, Angelina is in the newspapers alllll the time and has an agent. how is it that they \"couldn\'t FIND her???!!!\")
