HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Here is a hearty wish that all of those who deserve it have a very happy Mother's Day!
I do not know what statistics show, but I am hopeful that the majority of mothers have love and respect for their children. Love and respect are not things that are given lightly. They must be earned and deserved.
Although my mother is no longer living, I frequently look back on the past and go over my many remembrances of her. She had many good qualities, which are sometimes too easy to forget. On the other hand, because of a mental illness, she inflicted many forms of abuse on me.
In recent years, I have tried forgiving her for much of the unwanted emotional and physical pain that she thrust upon me. As much as I have tried, I have not been able to completely forget and forgive her. I doubt that I will ever be able to do that. That is something I will have to deal with throughout the rest of my life.
For the mothers here on DS, I truly hope that you show your children how much you love them. It will make all of you feel good with the world.
