Happy Kentucky Derby Day! :) my mom, dad, and i went to the Mohegan Sun! :) Krispy Kreme too! :)

HAPPY KENTUCKY DERBY DAY!!! :) oh my! :) oh boy!!! :) GO HORSES! GO!!! :) it's the RUN FOR THE ROSES!!! :) Kentucky Derby party!!! :) and Special greetings, from the MOHEGAN SUN CASINO! :) We're enjoying an amazing day! :) We're so very happy, excited, and thrilled! :) it's DERBY DAY!!! :) We're ready to cheer on the horses at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky! :) my mom, dad, and i went to the Mohegan Sun Casino today, in Uncasville, Connecticut! :) We had a fun time there! :) We went to the Race Book, we placed some bets on the big derby race! :) the 139th Running of the Roses! :) It's gonna be incredible! :) The Derby race is around 6:20pm this evening! :) We're r eady to CHEER! and CHEER! :) we had lots of fun this morning, looking at the horses, reading, studying, and making our picks! :) i played a ticket for my sister Lisa! :) She's so excited! :) i placed bets on 3 Derby horses. :) #4, GOLDEN SOUL, #12, ITSMYLUCKYDAY, and #17, WILL TAKE CHARGE :) it's one of our favorite days of the year! :) at the Mohegan Sun today, i took some cool pictures to share with everyone. :) We went to Krispy Kreme donuts! :) we got 2 dozen donuts, and i got an iced coffee. :) CHEERS!!! DERBY TIME!!! :) we love it! :) We saw a WEDDING at the Mohegan Sun Today! :) awww! :) everyone was gathered around, a couple was getting married right there in the main hall area of the Mohegan Sun! :) wow! :) This day is rocking, and sweet derby rolling! :) we're having a derby party here this evening! :) We're gonna cheer, and enjoy the big race. :) This is such a wonderful day, and sweet tradition that we love so very much! :) Everyone who is watching the Derby, we hope everyone enjoys the race. :) GO HORSES! It's the annual Kentucky Derby! :) 1 day each year, the 1st saturday of May, is Kentucky Derby day! :) it's one of the most exciting sporting events of the year. :) The Kentucky derby is an amazing tradition. :) my family and i are big fans of horse racing. :) We get so very hyped up, and excited about the big derby day celebrations. :) it's become a wonderful tradition over the years, to go to the mohegan sun casino, right down the road from us, about 3  minutes down the road! :) it's in Uncasville, Connecticut. :) We love going there to place some bets on the derby. :) my mom, dad, and i had a wonderful time today, at the mohegan sun. :) i've been thinking of you all often today, and you all are with us in spirit. :) We're getting super pumped up for the big race this evening, the Derby post time is at 6:24pm. :) We love that moment when the announcer says, "AND THEY'RE OFF!" and the horses run and run! :) Derby day is a day full of amazing and fun traditions. :)
my mom, dad, and i were hanging out this morning, looking on the KentuckyDerby.com website, picking our horses for the big race, Kentucky Derby 2013. :) i've got my lucky derby keychain that our dear, and lovely friends Gaye (LuvMyTitans), and her family sent me a few years ago from the 135th Kentucky derby. :) it's good luck! :) it's awesome day! :) There's 19 horses in the derby this year, a wild open field! :) when we look at the derby horses each year, there's always that wonderful excitement, of selecting the horses. :) each year, a horse catches my eye, where i just have to place a bet on it. :) when i saw this year's horses, i saw the #4 Horse, named "GOLDEN SOUL", and i thought of a very special dear angel friend, and one of our favorite spots in our yard, and garden, The Big Sanctuary, The Golden Sunrise, and Wildthing. :) i thought of his golden soul, and i knew, i was definitely gonna be placing a bet on the horse in the derby. :)
We had a fun time reading about the derby, putting coverage on tv, and my mom, dad, and i were getting our picks all set. :) Today, Kayla, Taylynn, and Taylynn's dad's parents went to a fun carnival up at the 3 Rivers College across the street from our neighborhood. :) they have lots of cool games there. :) it's a special spring time event. :) i called our dear and lovely friend Holly this morning, while walking around our yard, enjoying seeing many birds, and lots of bumble bees, butterfly's, and many more beautiful nature sights. :) i mentioned to Holly, about how my mom, dad, and i were gonna be going to the Mohegan Sun, just down the road from us. :) it's like a whole other world down there, and thinking about how our world here, full of nature, and then the world of the casino down there, 2 very different worlds, both very exciting. :) around mid-day,  my mom, dad, and i got ready to go to the Mohegan Sun. :)
This is so exciting!!! :) MOHEGAN SUN!!! :) HERE WE COME!!! :) The Kentucky Derby! :) The 1st race of the TRIPLE CROWN horse races. :) my mom, dad, and i were enjoying a nice talk, and drove past malerba's farm, the golf course, and peaceful pond. :) We saw lots of people shopping at malerba's farm, and also golfing, and we spotted a happy duck swimming in the peaceful pond. : )Awww! :) We drove across the street into uncasville, CT, and were approaching closer to the Mohegan sun. :) We saw the huge hotel there, and we parked our car in the parking garage. :) we then began to make our way, to the elevators :) we went down to the casino floor, and walked into the main hallway area. :) i was doing really well, it's dim lighted in the casino, and also some light areas, where they have lots of cool Native American decorations, and decorative displays. :) i took some nice pictures to share with everyone. :)
We went down a huge escalator near the food court, and right there, a HUGE CASINO AREA! :) it's like the main area, that leads to all 4 themed casinos. :) my  mom and dad scanned their mohegan sun players club cards to be entered into a contest. :) we then walked down toward the Race Book :) There's a race book at the mohegan sun, where you can place bets on all of the tracks. :) Churchill Downs, Pimlico, Yonkers, and others. :) they were having a special VIP party, but were opening up at 1:30pm to take more bets. :) my mom, dad, and i walked over to the non-smoking section of the casino, and my mom played the 2 cents slots. :) She didn't win, but it was nice watching her play the slots. :) the Racebook opened up, and my mom, dad, and i walked in there. :)
They have GIANT, HUGE SCREENS inside the racebook. :) it's absolutely incredible! :) on the screens, they got the featured races. :) it can get very wild inside there, as when there's a race, the people start cheering!!! for their horses. :) it's an amazing experience to be inside there. :) We got a surprise! :) MY BROTHER BOBBY!!! :) he was at the Casino! :) he was placing a bet on the derby too! :) We showed all of the horses in the derby, for $38! :) hehe! :) he'll definitely have a winning ticket! :) very cool! :) he said he was gonna stop by our house later on today with his girlfriend Stacy and their baby Ryan. :) Very cool! :) my dad went up to the racebook betting booths. :) my dad's friend works there, and my dad placed our bets. :) my dad, and mom have a big history of betting on horse races. :) in New London, CT, they use too have the OTB, (OFF TRACK BETTING), where my mom, dad, grandma, and her late husband Tony use too go to place bets, and they use too win lots of money! :)

After we were all set at the race book, my mom, dad, and i went to the Krispy Kreme donuts shop. :) we love their donuts, and coffee! :) i got a nice large iced coffee, and my dad and i chipped in together, and we bought 2 dozen donuts for everyone! :) we let my mom pick out the donuts! :) She was so happy! :) awww! :) we had a nice time at Krispy Kreme donuts. :) we then made our way back up the escalators, and guess what we saw? A WEDDING!!! :)WOW! :) there was a couple, getting MARRIED, right in the hallway area! :) they had people gathering around! :) we heard the minister reading the vows! :) WOW! :) That was so nice, and sweet to see! :) Congratulations to the newlyweds! :) awww! :) that was a cool surprise to see! :) my mom, dad, and i took the elevator back to the parking garade, and began our journey home. :) We were talking about the Kentucky  Derby. :) so cool! :) This is awesome!!! :) We love Derby day! :)
my brother Bobby, Stacy, and baby Ryan stopped by this afternoon to visit. :) We're enjoying a wonderful day! :) DERBY DAY!!! :) this evening, we're going to be watching the derby. :) it's only a 2 minute race, but is so exciting, and one of the most amazing sporting events. :) We'll be cheering on the horses! :) We hope to win! :) this is awesome! :) it's only 1 day a year, Kentucky derby. :) We are having so much fun, and having the time of our lives, enjoying the Derby day celebrations with everyone. :) many very special memories being made. :) my family and i thank you all so very much, for celebrating with us, and thank you all for your wonderful comments on our baking friday journal, and pictures. :) We're so very happy, and delighted that everyone enjoyed our bumble bees themed baking friday adventurre. :) That warms our hearts, and makes us smile. :) i'm treating myself a bit today, i had 2 glazed donuts, and enjoying my iced coffee too. :) it's derby day! :)
The race is gonna be so exciting this evening. :) Tomorrow, i'm going to be having a gardening day! :) i'm going to place flowers seeds in our planters in our front yard, and also going to plant sunflower seeds in my favorite gardening area. :) it's going to be in the 70's, all week, including many 80 degrees next friday! :) wow! :) it's gardening time! :) i'll take lots of pictures of our gardening day tomorrow, to share with everyone. :) tonight, our friend Holly and i are going to watch videos on youtube. :) in 2 weeks, is the Preakness Stakes horse race, the 2nd race in the triple crown. :) we may go back to the mohegan sun to place bets on that race too. :) in June, is the Belmont horse race. :) We hope a horse wins the triple crown this year. :) there's so much to look forward too. :) Thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us. :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of our hearts. :) BIG GROUP HUG :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet. :) We love these very special times, celebrating in all of the spirit, with you and your family's :) There's many more great things to look forward too. :) We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderfully safe, fun, and happy weekend. :)
