Happy Kentucky Derby Day! :) Greetings, from the Mohegan Sun Casino! :)

HAPPY KENTUCKY DERBY DAY!!! :) THE RUN FOR THE ROSES!!! :) Kentucky derby day at the Mohegan Sun! :) woot!!! :) we're so happy and excited! :) my mom, dad, and i enjoyed a nice time at the Mohegan Sun casino today, placing our bets on the derby, and went to some shops in the mall :) it was wild at the mohegan sun! wow!!! we placed the penny slots for a little while, and placed our bets at the convention center :) i got a free Kentucky derby t-shirt!!! :)i did have a bit of anxiety at times, but i enjoyed the experience the best i could :) my dad got us some iced coffees at krispy kreme donuts :) it was certainly a wild experience today :) we got our derby tickets, and we're ready to cheer for the horses this evening! :) our dear friends Gaye (LuvMyTitans) and her family are at Churchill downs in Kentucky, for the big derby day :) it's the 142nd running of the derby :) Good luck to all of the horses! :) There's 20 horses set to run for those awesome beautiful roses, and Kentucky derby glory! :) i took some pictures inside the mohegan sun casino today :) i'm really proud of how strong i was, to do all i did there today :) spirit and strength! :) my mom, dad, and i also went shopping at the dollar tree store today :) it's been a big day! :) We're gearing up for Mother's day holiday tomorrow, and having family over to visit :) We love celebrating these very special times with you all, our dear angel friends :) We're counting down to the Kentucky derby this evening :) GO HORSES, GO!!! :) it's almost time for the big derby race!!! :)
It's Kentucky Derby day! :) and DOWN THE STRETCH THE HORSES COME!!! :)whoooooooo!!! :) Hi angel friends! :) iced coffee CHEERS!!! on this amazing, and historic day, the Kentucky derby day! :) my family and i hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying a beautiful day :) We're only about 90 minutes away, from the 142nd run for the roses, the Kentucky derby! :) woot! woot!!! :) my mom, dad, and i went to the mohegan sun casino today :) We walked all around, including going into the convention center!!! oh my! wow!!!! i got lots to share in my journal :) What a day! what an incredible derby tradition! :) wow!!! :) This is super mega sweet awesome!!! :) We're ready to cheer and cheer for the horses! :) It's gonna be absolutely thrilling! :)
We love the Kentucky derby day! :) it's such a big, and fun day :) there's lots of derby traditions, and excitement :) my mom, dad, and i got our derby tickets today, with our annual visit to the Mohegan Sun :) i also got an awesome free, Kentucky derby t-shirt :) We're very excited, for the big day! :) our dear friends Gaye (LuvMyTitans) and her family are at the Kentucky derby in Kentucky, at the Churchill race track :) it's a very exciting day, with all of the wonderful derby day excitement, traditions, and celebrations :) We've been looking forward to going to the Mohegan sun, and also shopping today :)
This morning, we were all getting ready, for the big day! :) my niece Alyssa and Aj took the kids to Massachusetts, six flags amusement park today :) They went early this morning, around 9am :) my mom, dad, and i were planning to first go shopping at the dollar tree, and then to the mohegan sun :) We took a look at some of the derby contenders, and information about the race :) it was so exciting, making some picks :) i love the #17 horse, MOR SPIRIT, and i also placed some exacta bets today too :) shortly after 11am today, my mom, dad, and i were all set, and ready to begin our super fun adventures :) Mohegan Sun, Shopping, HERE WE COME!!! :)
my mom, dad, and i first went over to the shopping center, to the dollar tree store :) i wanted to buy some nice gifts, goodies, and treasures for my mom, for Mother's day :) i felt really relaxed, confident, and was spirit soaring with the excitement of the Kentucky derby :) it's always such a fun, and exciting day :) We parked our minivan, and walked over to the dollar tree :) we walked in, and got some shopping baskets :) i began to browse around, and found some really nice gifts, and goodies my mom loves, and i also selected out a really nice, happy mother's day card :) i was going shopping wild! :) hehe! :) i even bought some baked wheat crackers for myself for a movie night tonight :) it was a bit busy at the dollar tree, but i did so well, and even shopped on a few aisles by myself, and met back up with my mom and dad :) it went so well! :) my mom didn't know i was buying gifts for her, so it was super cool, as i had filled a whole basket full of nice items :) We shopped for a bit, and then finished up, and went to the checkout :) it went really smoothly, my mom, dad, and i checked out together :) i was so excited and i feel so happy about the nice items i got for my mom :) We put our bags into our minivan, and then began to make our way to the mohegan sun casino :)
MOHEGAN SUN CASINO, KENTUCKY DERBY DAY!!! :) We enjoyed a nice car ride, driving past malerba's farm, the golf course, and the peaceful pond :) i looked for the ducks! :) i didn't see them, but was so happy to see the pond :) my mom, dad, and i were talking about the derby :) We love derby day :) it's such a cool, and fun tradition :) the Mohegan sun is right across the road area from the peaceful pond area, it's amazing! :) it's truly like a whole world down there :) We drove into the area, and saw where they are building a 2nd hotel :) very cool! :) We found a nice parking spot, and began to make our way over to the entrance :) The casino has 4 main entrances. :)
We began to walk along the long path-ways, where they have Mohegan art, and all kinds of neat shandellears, decorations :) it's really amazing :)We love going to the mohegan sun, especially during derby day :) You all were with us in spirit :) i was texting Holly, about the experience :) We usually go to the racebook, to place our bets, but they have a VIP hours there for the derby day, where they are closed to everyone except the VIP bettors, so we walked into the Mohegan sun mall :)
in the mall, there's a store called "Second city", it's like an amazon, or ebay store :) lots of items :) we went into the store, they had lots of star wars collectibles, and movies, cds, and lots more, but not much TWD collectibles, but it was fun browsing around in the store, and i think they may get more TWD collectibles in there sometime :) it was nice browsing around :) we were deep into the mall, where they have lots of restaurants, and many cool and neat sights to see :) a wishing well area, huge light decorative that changes colors, and the water-fall restaurant! :) absolutely amazing!!! :)
my mom, dad, and i walked to the convention center, where you can place bets :) We walked over to there, and they got these huge horse displays, decorations, and we actually walked into the convention center, and it was so very extremely busy!!! wow! wow! OH MY!!! WOW!!!! my mom said, "i think Chris and i will stand outside here", it was too busy, even for my mom!!! i followed my mom out into the main area, and she and i both kinda took a breather, talking :) it was cool, but i did get very rattled with walking into the busy convention center, but i was ok, and my mom was ok too :) my dad went to place our bets inside there :) we didn't think it would be that busy, wow!!! it was like, when we first walked in, it had to feel like, what it feels like to walk out onto a stage, in front of hundreds of people. there may have been at least a 1000 people inside there! placing bets, and eating foods, having drinks.
my dad placed our bets, and met back up with my mom and i :) he gave us each $5 to play the slot machines :) We walked into the casino of the wind new slots area, and we played the penny slots for a bit :) We didn't win, but it was nice and relaxing to play the slots after the busy convention center experience. after we played the slots, we walked back through the casino, and into the mall again :) it was quite busy today, but we did ok :) We walked over to the store my mom wanted to go into, it's a small store, that sells bath soaps, and it was a bit busy for that size of a store, but i went in, and i felt like i was really out of place, but i kept cool, and it had loud music playing. i was just talking with my mom and dad, and texting with Holly :) my mom bought some soaps for Jenn, Lisa, Alyssa, and herself :) we checked out, and then my dad went into the krispy kreme donut shop :) he bought some iced coffees, iced tea for my mom, and some donut treats :)
We began to make our way back toward the mohegan sun entrance, there's a huge bakery there, and my dad bought some special cookies for my mom, for Mother's day :) awww! :) we then began to make our way outside, i was really thankful to get some fresh air :) we walked out to the parking lot, and it was just so refreshing, getting fresh air, and taking a good deep breathe :) it was certainly a wild experience at the Mohegan sun casino today :) i'm also so thrilled i got some very special gifts for my mom, for Mother's day :) we're gonna watch the derby this evening here at home, on tv :) everyone who is watching the race, we hope you all enjoy! :) Good luck to all of the 20 horses :)
We're enjoying a SUPER COOL DAY!!! :) Kentucky derby day! :) GO HORSES GO! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in great spirits :) We're going to watch the derby this evening on tv :) There's lots of great things going on, and many special memories being made :) We love this week, and are so excited, to watch the derby this evening, and celebrating Mother's day tomorrow :) i'm looking forward to giving my mom some gifts, goodies, and treasures :) Tonight, Holly and i are going to watch a comedy movie on amazon instant video :) we love our fun saturday night party night's, and so excited to watch a movie :) Enjoying these spirit soaring times :) Thank you angel friends, so very much, for all that you do for us :) You all are wonderfully nice, and sweet :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP HAPPY SUNNY SUNFLOWER HUG :) There's many more great things to look forward too, with family, friends, and nature :)

this is a cool wishing fountain at the mohegan sun :) it lights up, and looks so neat :) near the base, people toss coins to make wishes :) it's in the mall area :)


i found some pictures online, of the Mohegan Sun convention center. it was really busy inside there, there had to be close to 1000 people in the center.

They're building a new hotel next to the other hotel at the mohegan sun site :)
