Happy Holidays.. and an update
I've had a very nice holiday season. We had the family gathering at our house for Christmas. My brother and his wife as well as his daughters and their significant others showed up. You add in my three young adults and their significant others and it was quite a turnout. (Significant others?...Doesn't anyone get married anymore?) Oh well, out of my brothers five kids and my three there are zero grandkids. Zip, zilch, nada. This out of a group that ranges in age from 23 to 32. I'm starting to feel like the Anasazi who once prospered in the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde. Archeologists are puzzled why they suddenly disappeared. Maybe they all had career minded offspring and kids weren't in the picture. ( Sorry folks, no time for a family. I'm spending too much time commuting between here and Chaco Canyon. Maybe after I'm named assistant chief in charge of pottery production, I'll be able to stay put.) Our New Year's Eve was quiet. Julie and I went out to eat and saw a movie. Aren't we the party animals? As for me, well, I'm doing OK. Of couse, some days are more OK than others. Lately I've had some insomnia but I've slept well the last two nights. I've also been very achy. I think that's due to the prescription level of vitamin D I'm taking. Achiness is one of the listed side effects you could experience at the dosage I'm on. I only have to take it for 4 more weeks, so no biggie. The achiness is little uncomfortable but the end is in sight.Hope you have a Happy New Year,Tom
