Happy Holidays

It was a pleasant, though relatively uneventful Christmas holiday.  One of the things I received was a Betsey Johnson purse.  I've been eyeing one at Ross for a LONG time and I'm sure my husband paid a lot more for this one than I would have paid at Ross, but... hey.  At least he figured out that I really wanted one.  Score one for the hubby.
I've eaten SO MUCH junk food over the past couple of weeks.  I feel fat, sluggish, run-down.  But I dyed my hair back to dark brown instead of the washed-out blonde highlights and grey hair that I have been struggling with.  I've had enough of that.  It looks more red than I want, but that's because of the blonde and grey.  When you do it yourself and don't want to go super super dark, you're going to end up with some red tones.  I wish I could tone it down with some brass neutralizer but I don't feel like going to Sally's or buying anything else.  Time to slow down on the spending.  Christmas killed my bank account.
My older daughter's been working and I'm very pleased about this. I'm hoping it will help her to feel more confident and grow in relationships that are more mature.  She has "made up" with a friend of hers that she has had since 2nd grade but they were in a spat for about 2 months.  It was hard on both of our families because we love each other's girl's like nieces.
I'm looking forward to the rheumatologist on Tuesday but I'm terrified of finding out that he isn't going to give me the meds I need or the help I need straight away.  I don't want repeated visits at $50 a pop.  It may not sound like a lot, but it is for us.  I'm hoping hubby will go with me so he can hear just what I'm going through and (hopefully) hear that a doctor not only believes me but is glad to help me.
Come January 6th I am going off of sugar and back to real food.  I want to include a light aerobics/ light walking in my day to get the metabolism going.  I felt "in the mood" yesterday but felt as though I was crushing my husband and I don't want to feel like that.  I just want to feel GOOD.  If I'm in the mood, I just want to be in the moment, not worrying about how fat I am.  Maybe it will help the constant numbness/tingling in my hands and feet, too?  Headaches?  Muscle aches?  Stamina?
Anyway, back to the Breaking Bad marathon.  I loved this show the first time around and I love it second time around, too.  :-)
