My cat has made it to 20 years old today. Been 6 months since his scary trip to the vet, so I, at least, feel preety good.
I had to look up his birthday; I thought he was a year older. He's been with me from his birth, and we've gone through a lot together, including back in 2001 when the furnace broke down in my delapidated house in Nov.; him, me, and two other cats slept under a sleeping bag, with my knees bent, as though it was a raised tent, till the furnace was fixed.
Thanks to somebody who used to be on this site, I learned to give my special cat pedialight, almost no dry food cause of his elderly stomach, and little pate catfood cause that has too much junk in it. He, his kinda buddy, and two outside cats got some real tuna today.
And, just a few days ago, me on the trailways to a town about 20 miles away. Been a few years since I've done that; haven't missed much, though I survived the minor/major trip with all hell... not...breaking loose while I was gone---getting that out of my system made it worthwhile.

Well Happy Birthday Kitty! KI don\'t know exactly what day my 20 year old kitty was born but know it was sometime in September. Congrats on making the trip... but what were you trying to accomplish if you don\'t mind my asking?
if your cat was born till sept 22: virgo; clean, tidy, gentle, gets along with everyone...sept 23 on libra: great with children and other animals....years ago i bought a $2 cat astrology book at grocery check-out !
my hick town, with bums hanging out at park where trailways stops, though cops finally put end to that. Some months ago, when upstairs water ruined my door, I found out my door was ajar for a few days; bought latches and door chains to close it tight. And months ago for another town, i had to flag the trailways home from the sidewalk outside a bar---that was only place/way to catch bus home. If I miss any bus home from another town, its walk all the way home. Been such a rarity for me to leave my hometown, except for 2 mile bike ride to walmart. Hoping I can get back into leaving town without worries.

20 years! That\'s amazing.
i am amazed, after all his trips to the vet, that he has reached 20...though for last couple years i\'ve been giving him 24 hour nursing care to make sure he\'s ok.
We\'ll my 20 year old kitty is definitely no Virgo! He is shy and grumpy and does not get along with anybody two legged or four! But he is clever fun and amusing and we love him to bits!
