Hi angel friends! :) SUPER EXCITING DAY! :) oh my! :) this is the day, football fans have been waiting for! :) it's week 1, of the NFL season! :) the spirit of the day, oh this is so very exciting!!! :) the 1st week games, is like Christmas morning for Football Fans :) 32 teams, and dreams of superbowl glory! :) lots and lots of games, exciting times, with cheering on the teams and players, all of the fun, football, foods, snacks, drinks, and times with family and friends :) Football sunday's, are back!!!! :) my family and i hope everyone is doing great, and enjoying a beautiful sunday! :) there's just something so very sweet, and magical about the 1st week of the football season :) i'm wearing my Redskins t-shirt, jersey, and Redskins hat, i got the Redskins ESPN980.com radio going early this morning, around 9am, to listen to the Redskins pre-game :) We got a football party going on! :) this is awesome fun, and lots of great times, that are creating many special memories :) i have many new pictures to share, including pictures of my Redskins collectibles, and pictures of me wearing my Redskins shirts/jersey/hats over the years, old school Redskins pictures! :) HTTR (Hail to the Redskins!) Hail Victory! :) i'm a football fanatic! :)
my family and i are enjoying a THRILLING DAY!!! :) i've been thinking of you all often today :) we got lots and lots of friends, who are football fans! :) hut! hut! HIKE! :) TOUCHDOWN!!! :) we hope everyone is watching football, is enjoying the games :) it's an amazing feeling, knowing football is back, and we got football sunday's now, through January into February! :) unwrapping a new season, is one of the most exciting joys :) it truly is like Christmas morning, for us football fans :) i've been so excited, and pumped up, last night, i was thinking about the Redskins 1st game of the season, i could barely go to sleep! :) hehe! :) i was so ready for the game, and couldn't wait until that classic, 1pm kick-off time today! :) Every 1st week of the football season, always brings back lots of special memories for me :) i remember in the early 1990's, through the mid 90's, my family and i would go shopping early on sunday's, and would make sure we got home, in time for the kick-offs :) we use too go to a store across town, i remember getting bags of potato chips, a big bottle of pepsi soda, and we'd come home, and set up our game day table, and watch football all day! :) hehe! :) i love football! :)
GAME DAY! GAME TIME! :) on this sweet classic, and golden sunny sunday, it's a beautiful day, perfect day, for football! :) i enjoyed some nature walks this morning, checking in on the plants, and put lots of goodies all around our yard, for our nature animal friends :) they love to enjoy some goodies :) they've been gathering lots of breads, and peanuts :) it's a bit cooler outside here today, we recieved some nice rain overnight :) the plants enjoyed the nice replenishing rain :) i brewed a nice iced coffee, i love to brew an iced coffee, for the 1st football sunday of the season :) i watched the Redskins game, they had the early lead, but then lost control of the game, and lost 17-6 today. it was a disappointing loss, but i'm proud of them always, for giving their all :) i know they will definitely be back and ready for their 1st home game of the season, next week :) i'd love to share some special memories i have, of being a Redskins fan :)
MY WASHINGTON REDSKINS STORY, AND MEMORIES :) hi angel friends! :) i am feeling very spirited, excited, and pumped up, for the Redskins 2014 season :) my Washington Redskins, have dreams of winning the NFC East, and of course, superbowl glory, as they begin their journey, and their quest, of Superbowl Glory in 2014!!! :) Every team, a sweet superbowl dream! :) Today, i am sharing some stories, and memories i have, of being a Redskins fan :) from the beginning back in 1991 when i was 11 years old, to the sweet glory of the Redskins winning NFC east title, all throughout the years, big games, wins, heart-breaking losses, but always, many special memories made, that i love, so very much :) i'm so proud, to be a fan of the Redskins. :)
Back in the late 1980's, and early 1990's, i was just getting into watching football, i became very interested in the sport, when i noticed one evening, my family, older brothers, and older sister Lisa, and my parents, were gathering in our living room, to watch something on tv. :) it was, Superbowl, 24, between the 49ers and Broncos :) i remember watching the game, and i really liked it! :) i WAS INSTANTLY HOOKED!!! :) FOOTBALL FAN! :) FOREVER!!! :) i began to watch the games, during the seasons, and i remember back in 1991, there was a team, that caught my eye, and caught my heart, The Washington Redskins :) they were having a magical season that year, and i noticed, how well they played :) they had a Quarterback, named Mark Rypien :) he wore #11 jersey, and he was throwing touchdowns left and right that season! oh my! :) Art Monk, Gary Clarke, Rickey Sanders, they were unstoppable!!! :) and their defense, amazing with Darrell Green leading the way! :)
It was a exciting feeling, to be cheering them on, and becoming, a fan of the Washington Redskins :) i remember that season very well :) The Redskins went on, to the playoffs, and the superbowl, and defeated the Buffalo Bills in Superbowl 26, i watched the game on CBS, and i remember it was amazing! :) Redskins 37- Bills 24 :) The Redskins coach, Joe Gibbs, being carried off the field victorious, superbowl champions, and Mark Rypen, the MVP of the Superbowl :) i remember my family being very excited, about me being a fan of the Redskins, and they began to buy some Redskins collectibles for me :) i remember a cool saturday back in 1992, when my mom, and dad, took me to the Sports Shack store over in the Norwichtown Mall, and bought for me, a Redskins Superbowl hat, and also went to Caldoor's store in Waterford, Connecticut, and bought me another Redskins hat :)
i had football fever!!! :) i remember, wearing my hats, proudly, and getting a Redskins themed football, burgundy and cold, from the Ames store that use too be up the road from us :) i was so excited, my friends and i use too play football in the road in front of our house :) i remember we'd pretend to be NFL players, our favorite players, and would play football for hours and hours :) pure fun, and so nice, many special memories :) We were shopping at the New London, CT mall one weekend, the 5th avenue sports shop, and i remember, seeing a very cool Redskins collectible, back in 1993, a Redskins collectible Pin :) i bought the pin with my allowance money, and i remember being so proud of the pin, i put the pin on my hat. :) it was the beginning of me falling in love with collecting Redskins pins/buttons :) over the years, when my family and i went out to shop, at the sports stores, i would buy Redskins pins/buttons, and recieved some for gifts, and to this day, i now have, 42 different Redskins pins, and buttons :) i sometimes put them all on, one of my Redskins hat, it's really cool :)
i love collecting Redskins items, and collectibles :) it's really fun :) i remember back in 1997, my mom and dad bought a mini riddell Redskins helmet, that i have right here next to me today, on this Redskins gameday :) i also collect Redskins hats, shirts, and other Redskins collectibles :) posters, mini helmets :) i remember back in the early 1990's, when i began to collect these tiny little mini helmets in those quarter machines at the grocery stores :) i remember, i would get some quarters, and would always try to find the Redskins helmet, and always got other teams, but in the mid 1990's, at the better value grocery store, i put a quarter in, and there came out, a Redskins mini helmet! :) of course after that, i always got lots of Redskins mini helmets! :) hehe! :) i remember when we use too go to his store, called Bradley's, over in Groton, CT, they had these icees drinks, and we use too get the NFL teams collectible cups with the drinks, and i remember always getting the Redskins cup. :) i think i had saved about 12 of them :) i also use too collect the NFL team cans, back in the mid 1990's :) in 1996, some of my Redskins collectibles, were a part of my halloween costume! :) i remember that year, i dressed up as a Redskins player for halloween and went trick or treating :)
my Redskins collectibles collection, is very special, and precious to me :) i cherish, and treasure every Redskins collectible i have :) magazines, newspaper clippings, and other Redskins items, i love it very much :) i want to share with you all, about a super cool football card i got :) my mom, dad, family, and i were shopping at the big mall, back in 1994, and the sears store use too have football cards, other sports cards :) We saw, a Mark Rypen Super Rookie card :) my mom and dad bought it for me :) i use too collect lots of sports cards, and the Beckette sports cards books, told about the prices of the cards, and i remember in the football magazine, they shared the NFL team's addresses, where you could write to the team, and players :) i wrote a letter to Mark Rypien, the Redskins player, and asked him if he could sign my football card :) about 3 months later, i recieved an envelope back from Redskins park, and guess what? MARK RYPIEN SIGNED MY CARD!!! :) oh my! :) i was so pumped up! :) i was showing all of my family, friends, i was absolutely thrilled!!! :) it's my favorite sports card i've ever had, and always will be :) i also love my new autographed Redskins card, i recieved from Redskins player, #91, Ryan Kerrigan this summer season :)
Collecting items of your favorite team, is one of the most enjoyable thing, about being a fan :) it's really neat. :) my collection has really grown over the years, and even recently, getting some Redskins collectibles, it's so nice :) i love my collection :) i want to share, about Christmas holiday season, 1992. :) i was in my 2nd season as a Redskins fan, and it was just before Christmas eve, we were playing the Raiders, and i remember my family and i gathered in our living room, and we got to open some early Christmas gifts :) my mom and dad gave me, a Redskins Christmas ornament, and Redskins mug :) i have both of those collectibles, right here in my computer room :) so cool! :) i feel a great passion, and love for my team, the Redskins :) We have a great team tradition, one of the longest running teams in the National Football League (NFL) :) The Redskins, have lots of tradition, lots of games, 3 Superbowl championships, many games over the years, from victories, to heart breaking losses, and each season, has it's own unique qualities. :) i'd love to take this time, to share about some of my Favorite Redskins games, and some of the losses, that stuck with me over the years, but there's always a new season, to celebrate, and cheer :)
REDSKINS GAMES! :) FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAMES! :) my all-time favorite Redskins game, is Superbowl 26. :) my 2nd favorite game, was on December 30th,2012, when the Redskins defeated the Cowboys to win the 2012 NFC East Division Championship :) Redskins, 28-18 :) i remember that game like it was yesterday :) it was nearly 11:30pm that night, score was 21-18, Redskins winning, deep 4th quarter, and the Cowboys had the football. they threw an interception to us, and we got the football, and our runningback scored a touchdown, to seal the victory, and i remember, pure esctatic excitement flowing in my heart, i literally felt like i was right there at Fed Ex Field with the other fans, with the Redskins, cheering,and they played our song, HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! HAIL VICTORY!!!" and it was unbelievable! the crowd, going wild, i was going wild! my dad was still up watching the game too! :) we all felt like, we had won, we all had won :) Redskins, first division title since 1999. :) a fan was holding up a sign, and it said, "tonight, we are gonna party like it's 1999" hehe! :) i remember staying up that night, until 1:30am in the morning, joyfully celebrating the Redskins victory, watching sportscenter, drinking iced coffee, i was absolutely thrilled! :)
Last season was a rough one, finishing 3-13 in 2013, but was a growing season. :) RG3, and other new Redskins players, have given us fans, Hope :) for many years, and many seasons, the Redskins encountered some rough times, and rough games, and tough losses. from 1994, through 1998, it was rough, and from 2000, through 2011, some very rough seasons, of course sprinkled in with some success in 1999, 2005, and 2007, but we needed something, we needed a new player, we needed someone that was gonna change the team, change the style, we needed a quarterback. :) i remember before the 2012 NFL draft, i was talking with our dear friend Holly on the phone :) i said, "Holly, the Redskins need to trade up to the #2 pick in the draft, we need that pick, to draft, Rg3. :) a couple weeks later, i was thrilled to find out, the Redskins traded up, to pick #2, and we drafted, RG3 :) wow! Last season,in 2012 we begin with an amazing victory over the Saints, we scored 40 points in that game, it had been probably 10 years, since the Redskins scored, 40 points :) The Redskins went through some growing spurts, we were 3-6 after 9 games in 2012, a very heart breaking loss, to the Carolina Panthers, and we then had, our bye week :) Something happened, during that bye week, something clicked, and the Redskins came out the next week, vs the Eagles :) i remember our dear friend Holly saying. "Chris, your Redskins are winning big!" and i checked the score, Redskins, defeated the Eagles that game, and went on an amazing run, we won, 7 straight games :)
wow! :) what an amazing run it was :) the Redskins now, begin this new season, 2014 with hopes of a big turnaround from last season, hopes of playoffs, superbowl :) they can i have had so much fun, sharing with you all in my journal, about my Redskins fan story, and memories i have. :) this is very enjoyable. :) i am a Redskins fan, forever:) like every NFL fan, and Redskins fan, i have hopes for my Redskins this season, to go to the playoffs, and maybe win the superbowl :) There's always hope! :) It's so much fun, being a fan, especially when your team, begins a new season :) The thrill of cheering on your team, it's amazing, and one of life's great experiences, to be able to invest your spirit, your heart, your joy, into cheering for a team, that is really neat, cool, and fun :) i am ready to cheer on my Washington Redskins, every game, all season :) Good luck Redskins! :) i'm with you! :) Hail to the Redskins! :) Hail Victory! :)
We're enjoying a SUPER MEGA SWEET AWESOME GAMEDAY!!! :) FOOTBALL! :) my family and i are doing well, and are in great spirits :) it's been an awesome weekend, and we got lots more coming up, to look forward too :) my brother Charlie's birthday is on wednesday :) We had a nice raining here, overnight, that replenished our plants :) i look forward to lots of september nature walks this upcoming week, harvesting, tending our plants, also sweet treats tuesday, and enjoying a nice time, bringing out my halloween decorations :) i want to sort through my decorations, and to begin decorating my 2014 halloween town, very soon :) i'll keep everyone updated, on how things are going :) it's gonna be awesome fun decorating :) it's been a really nice stretch of days, with many special memories being made :) i'm thrilled, that fall season is coming, football season is here :) We're beginning to get some sweet sunset skies too, as fall approaches :) We have super wednesday post office adventure coming up, ghost hunters party, and lots more, leading us into a super sweet, Fall harvest Pumpkins themed baking friday adventure :) my family and i feel very blessed, and thankful each day, to have you all in our lives :) you all always warm our hearts, touch our hearts in many special ways, and brighten our days :) We deeply appreciate everything you do for us, with all of the love of our hearts :) BIG GROUP SUNSHINE FRIENDSHIP HUG :) Tonight ,i'm going to have a healthy salad for snack, and going to watch some of the Broncos vs Colts football game :) There's many more great things, and amazing times to look forward too :)
