Happy Fall Season! :) Harvesting, and Roasting, Mammoth Sunflower Seeds :)

HAPPY FALL SEASON! :) FALL HARVEST! MAMMOTH SUNFLOWER SEEDS! :) ROASTING SUNFLOWER SEEDS, ON THIS SWEET COOL, CRISP, FALL DAY! :)
HARVESTING AND ROASTING, MAMMOTH SUNFLOWER SEEDS! :) SUNNY GREETINGS, FROM OUR GARDEN! :) awww! :) From seed to sprout, to growing strong, tall, and proudly, blossoming beautifully, and smiling and smiling at the sun :) THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF A SUNFLOWER! :) Where there's a Sunflower, there's a SMILE! :) Hi Angel friends, we hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful day :) i am so very happy, delighted, and thrilled, to share with you all, a very sweet, wholesome, and gardening joy, that is one of my most favorite gardening traditions, and festivities :) Nature, and Gardening is very rewarding, in many beautiful ways :) The joys of gardening, and having a journey, with the plants, throughout the season :) it's one of the most amazing experiences, that someone can enjoy :) my family and i love gardening, and are so thrilled, to have the very special opportunity, to share in, and celebrate, the gardening season, with everyone :) it feels like yesterday, when we were holding these garden seeds in our hands, planting them into our garden, with a very special dream in our hearts, that sprouted, and grew and grew, and on this beautiful 1st day, of the Fall season, today i harvested, and roasted, some yummy delicious mammoth sunflower seeds :)

We love Sunflowers, and the special joys, of growing them :) It's truly incredible, how 1 sunflower seed, has such an amazing journey, throughout the season, and can produce, so many more sunflower seeds, that bring such a sweet joy of excitement to our hearts, that we are so very blessed, and thankful, to be able to share with you all, our dear friends, across the miles, with lots and lots of sunny smiles :) Growing a sunflower, is such an amazing experience, and then, to get the chance this time of the year, to harvest and roast sunflower seeds, it's super mega sweet awesome!!! :) i am so very tickled happy, excited, and thrilled to share with everyone, about the harvesting process, of a mammoth sunflower, and it's many seeds it grews, amongst the blossom of the sunflower :) Sunflowers, are truly amazing :) When a sunflower grows, it needs that sunlight, nice water nourishment, and tender loving care, throughout the season, as it grows :) it's early days of growing, are some of the most exciting :) As you see those sunflowers sprouting up, and enjoying their 1st glimpse of the golden garden sun, and then, it grows more and more, and before you know it, the sunflower is so tall, it TOWERS OVER US!!! :) amazing, and spectacular! :)
When a sunflower blossoms, it has these beautiful petals, and then, in the middle of the sunflower, we begin to see some seeds growing :) those happy smiling bumble bees, love to pollenate the sunflowers :) in my many pictures of the sunflower blossoms, throughout the season, you can see lots of bumble bees, on the sunflowers :) the bumble bees sometimes CAMP OUT on the sunflowers, overnight, as in the early mornings, i would see about 3 or 4 bumble bees, all huddled together on the sunflower blossom :) many sunflowers, blossom overnight :) as they lean toward the sun, throughout the journey of a day, it's incredible to see that sunflower lean, toward the sun, and then, as the moon shines bright in the summer time night, the sunflowers open up, and blossom beautifully, to greet us, in the early mornings, as those sweet golden beams!!! of sunshine trickle upon the sunflower's petals, and that sunflower shines and smiles all throughout the day :) When a sunflower grows it's seeds, the sunflower begins, to get heavy, and begins to lean over a bit :) This is a very symbolic tradition, of a sunflower :) when a sunflower leans over like that, it's almost as if the sunflower knows, that after the season, the seeds of the sunflower, will fall upon the soil, to grow more and more sunflowers :) We see this so many times, in our gardens, each season :) The sunflowers, will drop sunflower seeds, and birds also help to drop the seeds, as the birds love sunflower seeds, and each time that golden spring season approaches, we see, sunflowers sprouting up, and it's like the CIRCLE OF GARDENING SUNFLOWER LIFE, of a sunflower's journey, and spirit, continuing to grow, all throughout the seasons :) it's amazing, very special, and beautifully memorable :) i always say, where there's a sunflower, there's a smile :)
Today, i harvested, 2 mammoth sunflowers, in our gardens :) This is so very special, and such a fun tradition, i love very much :) Harvesting a sunflower, has many fun steps, that concludes, with a delicious, fresh roasted scent of sunflower seeds baking in the oven :) mammoth sunflower seeds, are edible :) here in our front yard, next to our front steps, we had a HUGE TALL MAMMOTH SUNFLOWER Grow, that Mikey helped plant :) The sunflower, grew to about 11 feet tall! :) AMAZING!!! to see how tall it grow :) another mammoth sunflower, grow in our front yard garden area :) After a sunflower blossoms, you can see, these white sunflower seeds, growing in pods, amongst the sunflower blossom :) these are the first glimpses, of it's sunflower seeds it produces :) As the sunflower continues to grow, the seeds grow, and before you know it, this time of the year, you begin to see, this light gray stripe, forming upon the white sunflower seeds :) That's a sign, that the sunflower is ripening :)
As i harvested these 2 nice sunflower seeds today, i set up a special area, in our yard, with our garden bench :) i brought outside with me, a nice big bowl, to put the sunflower seeds in :) As you harvest the sunflower seeds, you first have to remove, these yellow blossoms that were on the sunflower blossom :) These are the yellow blossoms, that the bumble bees, pollenated during the season : )Then, you can begin to get the sunflower seeds :) it's truly incredible, to see, how many sunflower seeds, 1 sunflower grows :) there's tons and tons of the sunflower seeds :) i was out in the AUTUMN SUNSHINE today, thinking of you all, our dear angel friends, as i harvested the sunflower seeds :) inside the sunflower blossom, there's these nice pods areas, where the seeds grow :) in the pods, there's a sunflower seed :) i held the sunflower blossom, and i then began to remove the sunflower seeds from the pods :) the sunflower seeds pop out of the pods, that they grew in :)
i was in all of my SUNNY SUNFLOWER GLORY, as i was harvesting the sunflower seeds :) i was putting all of the sunflower seeds, into a bowl :) this is one of the first steps, of harvesting the seeds :) i love that scent of the seeds too :) it's sunflower fresh! :) i collected and gathered all of the sunflower seeds, from the 2 blossoms :) i was taking pictures, as i harvested the seeds, to share with everyone :) after i got the big bowl of the sunflower seeds, i then collected a handful of the seeds :) this is very special to me :) i keep some of the seeds, to dry, to replant into our gardens, next season :) The spirit of these sunflowers, will GROW ON, into the following seasons :) a sunflower's journey continues :) i then, love to sprinkle some of the sunflower seeds, into our garden areas, about 10 sunflower seeds. :) i also love to give the squirrels and birds, a few sunflower seeds too :)
With the rest of the sunflower seeds, i then brought the bowl of the seeds into our home, in the kitchen :) in a nice kitchen strainer, i love to go through the seeds, i wash the seeds with nice warm weather in the strainer/sink :) after washing the seeds, i bring the seeds back outside, to let the seeds sit in the sun, for a little while :) this drys the water/wash off the sunflower seeds, and it's then time, for some wholesome sunflower seeds roasting! :) Oh my! :) ROASTING SUNFLOWER SEEDS! :) I LOVE IT!!! :) they are a delicious, sweet snack, and sweet fresh from the garden :)
In our kitchen, i got our baking pan, and i sprinkled salt onto the pan :) i then put some of the sunflower seeds, on the pan, and i then sprinkled more salt, onto the sunflower seeds :) we love salted seeds :) i then put the sunflower seeds, into the oven to roast/bake :) during this process, i love to check the sunflower seeds often, to make sure, they are roasting/baking evenly :) i use a spatula, to turn/rotate the seeds :) i was so very into this, and having such a fun time, roasting the seeds, harvesting today :) The scent of sunflower seeds roasting, is very wholesome, sweet, and AUTUMN-EEE! :) i love it!!! :) the first batch of seeds, finished roasting :) i brought them out of the oven to cool down :) i then, began to prepare the rest of the sunflower seeds :) i had some nice BBQ seasoning :) i made BBQ seasoned sunflower seeds too :) This was so much fun today, and such a sweet garden tradition, and festivity :)
We love sunflower seeds :) i gave some to my sister Lisa, and niece Kayla :) the sunflower seeds are a nice snack :) i had so much fun today, harvesting sunflower seeds, roasting the seeds, and taking pictures, and making a video to share with everyone :) this is such a wonderfully wholesome, and joyful time of the year : )The garden harvests, fall season arriving, and lots of wholesome joys, and a warmth in our hearts :) A VERY SPECIAL SUNNY SUNFLOWER SMILE :) i love nature, gardening, and all that it brings us, throughout the seasons, and years :) Thank you all for joining me today, on my very special sunflower seeds harvesting day : )i feel so very happy, excited, and thrilled! :) i've got some nice sunflower seeds to enjoy, plus, i'll be drying these other sunflower seeds i saved, to replant into our gardens, next season :) WHERE THERE'S A SUNFLOWER, THERE'S A SMILE :)

Wonderful sunflower harvest time!! What a lovely crop of yumminess :) Do the seeds have an outer shell that you take off? The stripy shell?
It\'s a lovely time of year here too. Perfect days at just the right temperature, with still a hit of cool in the breeze. We may get up to 30 degrees (celsius) next week! And when O go to New Zealand in November it will still be around 16! Too close to Antarctica for my liking ;)
Sending love and hugs xx
