Happy Days are Here Again?
I had a good day today. Whether flu or exacerbation or something else, the nausea is almost completely gone now. I didn't take the Avonex injection nor have I taken LDN the past three days. We'll see what happens. Hopefully I will continue to feel more energetic, less fatigued, and be able to eat something besides frozen fruit bars (although the lime and tropical are soooo good, especially the lime). The MS Walk in Fargo is on the 19th of this month. A couple of days ago I didn't know if I'd be able to do it. Now I think I might. Headache all day today. But I'll take that over the nausea! Am tired now, but acomplished a great deal today--probably too much. My project is coming together...thank-you, God! I prayed for an end to the nausea and for inspiration with my project. Both of my prayers have been answered and I just might make the Tuesday deadline! Actually, I think my advisor will give me a couple of extra days...but I am still shooting to be done on Tuesday. Then....freedom from grad. school until June. And then only ONE CLASS to go until graduation in July of this year. Yippee! It might just happen. Then I will have made what is probably my biggest accomplishment (other than quitting smoking 3-4 years ago--this was major). I started graduate school, changed my program of study, found out that I had MS, went to school and taught full time, was the lead role in a play last year and supporting role this year, had six months of illness, one on top of the other, was diagnosed with another disease (copd), got reacquainted with asthma, experienced four diseases all vying for my attention at the same time, did an internship, am completing a final HUGE project, and am now seeing the end! But I don't ever want to repeat this schedule again! Wow, looking at this, I am just amazed. How did I do all of this? It took it's toll on my health, for sure. Maybe now, once this project is done (two days to go), I will be FREE of illness!!!! I'm going to another healing Mass on Thursday. I don't know what kind of healing God will give me, but am confident that he will give me what I need the most. And that may not be anything physical. Off to bed...tomorrow comes way too fast! Wow--project is just about done and school is out in around 5 weeks. I can't wait!! The weather was warm today (40's to 50's) and the sun was out. I felt halfway decent as well. How much better can life get? (Okay, it can get better, but compared to last week, I feel pretty good). It's amazing how one's outlook changes when one feels halfway decent. Attitude is good; depression has lifted; some energy has returned; some household chores done...Yes, life is good. Thank-you, Lord, for all that you have given me. Amen. For anyone reading this, I wish you peace, health, and harmony. Bigs hugs to all of you!
