Happy Boxing Day
I hope you all had a peaceful Chiristmas filled with love.
Our Christmas was hectic but good. I kept very busy - it kept me focused on the positive rather than the negative. Andrew and Tiina came on the 21st. We had our Christmas dinner on the 22nd. Cevyn arrived at 9:45 pm. Andrew and Tiina had to leave VERY early on the 24th so we had our gift opening that same evening. We also did our family picture that evening. It is taken with the snowman on our door! Joe tried posting it here but was unable to because it said it was too big. He had trimmed it and it should have been okay but it wasn't. If anyone wants to see it, it is on my Facebook - Marlene Foley. Just be prepared, some of my friends are quite raunchy - I have and eclectic group of friends!
Joe and I made a turducken roll for dinner last night. We had our neighbours over for dinner and again, we had a very nice time. We ate way too much. I actually made real egg nogg and it was really really good! Again, I spent the whole day cooking but I enjoyed it.
Every Christmas is different. We do what it takes to make the best of it. This one was as good as it could be - we had our family together - at least for a little while.
Lisa: You were with me - I felt your presence in the kitchen as I was preparing food for friends and family. I miss you always and love you forever.

This is probably a silly question....but what is turducken roll?
Based on the name it sound like something turkey & duck.

Turducken is a weird bird. You literally put a duck in a turkey and a chicken in the duck. To do an authentic one, you debone the birds and stuff one in the other. We just used chicken breast, duck breast and turkey breast. We slathered sutffing on each one. To tell the truth, I though it was okay but I wouldn\'t go to the trouble end expense again. The guests seemed to like it. I was more impressed with the dessert my neighbour brought - Tre Leche cake. It is a cake soaked with 3 different varieties of milk - I think condensed milk is one - not sure of the others. But basically she made a cake and then poked holes in it and poured the milks over it. She then iced it with whipped cream! Needless to say, it is not lo cal but it is soooo good! Tomorrow we are back on the veggie plan.
Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. I\'m so glad. Mine was really good also. We too did the family exchange on the 21st and Christmas we had Santa come for Athena. I think she is starting to not believe in Santa but plays along.
I think I have flu now. I did get a flu shot but I\'ve got a sick stomach and stuffed head and a little sore throat and low grade fever. My DIL said that the flu shot is not very effective this year...don\'t know where or how she found that out.
My brother sent me a big check for my b\'day! It\'s exciting and I\'m thankful for having such a nice, rich, bro! W is back from Asia, and doing well, thank G-d for a healthy family! Hoping we can all get back to our ordinary eating routines soon. Even the dogs are getting too fat! Love to all soth, Abby

It sounds like so much fun. It is so good you have friends to hang with. My hubby is a scrooge anit-social person. It I go out it is always with someone other then hubby, if it is just dinner then home Mike will go.
